Beck Tavern — Restaurant in Columbus

After a long day at work...my friend and I stopped in for a nightcap!! We were no more then in the door...laughing and expecting a great experience bartender was immediately rude and grossly unprofessional with us!! He even laughed at his behaivor!! This was the first and last time I ever grace this establishment with my presence!! He mocked me as a bartender and delighted in insulting us both for having fun happy energy!! He was loud and performing for his regular guests across the bar!! He is a Bully and a nasty energy!! How he has a job with guest service is baffling!! I am a well respected professional...this will be spread like wildfire throughout Social media and Zone 2 downtown Cbus where I am employed!! Thank your bartender for causing a loss to future bussiness at your establishment!! It is rare that I leave reviews and even more rare that they are negative!! I'm sure that you have cameras watch your staff better!! I have been in this industry for over 30 years!! I am appalled at his disrespect!! A plethora of colleagues that I have spoken with today...share the same horrible experience wirh him!!

After getting a first hand experience with the staffs distain for mixology lol. I've learned to keep it simple and don't ask for random cocktails. If I'm being honest, I think if the owner and staff were taken on an all inclusive vacation for holding it down for the community. They would return with vigor and passion that would warrant another 2 stars. They are not bad people by any means, quite the opposite. although the atmosphere of the bar is great and the female weekend bartender is fantastic… the attitude of the male bartender at the tavern is a dark shadow on the friendly atmosphere. He has no problem serving women who are visibly drunk but is openly rude to men who haven’t even been served yet. He has a disdain for questions and a negatively territorial attitude towards his bar that seems to entitle him to rude and distasteful reactions and responses to customers looking to have a calm, good time in the bar. Go to becks tavern… but...
