Cakes and More — Restaurant in Columbus

My dear brother passed away in early April, and I needed a full sheet cake with my design to properly thank all the amazing caregivers on his behalf. From across the country I spent many a frustrating hour failing to find a baker who could do it, and my heart sank. Then I remembered my brother's words when either of us had doubts or lost hope: "Good things happen if you believe." So I did. And I met Adriana.

She couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating and the moment I asked she said, "Yes, I can do that!" And oh did she! Not only was it spectacular to look at (see for yourself!) the nurses who reluctantly cut into it said it was "really delicious!"

First, when I called to ordered my cake I was told to call back. That was fine and I did call back and ordered a six inch round cake. Vanilla/White cake; with vanilla buttercream frosting between the layers and for the icing. They told me it would be 38.00, then I went to pick it up all the other 6"cakes in the case were 34 dollars. When I questioned her she went in the back to get another lady. She said she was sorry it was 34. I paid and went home. The conversation was polite for all. The cake looked nice just plain with blue icing for "happy birthday papa". Just got home with four empanadas, some fries, two cake-pops, and a slice of Dominican cake. To share, of course. Everything was incredible, and I am impressed with the empanadas, which is great because the big sign out front that says empanadas is what drew me. And that Dominican cake is something else. Guava and passion fruit is such a lovely combination. I am lucky that my partner is Puerto Rican and loves guava and passion fruit or I might have skipped over it for something else.
