Denny’s LONG POST
We arrived at the restaurant around 10:32 A.M. on February 04, 2025 Cheryl was our waitress. She was a good waitress and explained the meals we asked about with knowledge. There wasn’t many customers in the restaurant; but after an hour wait we asked how long would it be before we received our food? We asked for two sizzlers and when they came out they weren’t sizzling. No one had informed us that there would be a long wait time so we asked to speak with the manager on duty at that time we found out they were short staffed because the manager was on the grill cooking and couldn’t come speak with us at the moment but a RUDE waitress(Marcia) came with a very rude attitude and telling us the manger couldn’t come out but how could she help us? So my God mom said she needed a discount for the wait and she told her she couldn’t get a discount; then my God mom said well just give me the senior citizen discount and she stated that in order to get that she’ll have to show her AARP card and we were floored because no one has ever asked for that card maybe her ID but never that. My God mom was flabbergasted and told her she did not care to speak with her anymore to get the manager. While Marcia goes to get the manager we hear her talking rude about us and my God mom told her we could hear her and she continued talking about us and the incident which was unprofessional. Once the manager Don came she apologized and made everything right and told us that she hoped to see us again. We didn’t mind the wait but no one informed us and the waitress Marcia IS NOT a polite waitress to be addressing the public in such a manner. Read moreDecided to stop in for lunch and may not go back to Denny's again. The entire experience left a lot to be desired and it started the moment we were seated. As we walked toward the booths we noticed the floor was slippery (greasy not wet), after being seated our server disappeared and was gone for 30 minutes before coming back to take our drink order.
My wife suggested we should leave as this visit was not starting off well but I insisted we should stay as Denny's was one of my son and my favorite places to eat. When the drinks arrived we noticed my son's lemonade cup had left over lipstick on it, my drink had stuff floating in it, my wife was brought an odd combination of tea and lemonade despite ordering just tea. Despite this we decided to stay as we had already ordered and were pretty hungry.
When the food arrived we were once again disappointed as nothing was quite the way it should have been. We all ordered the Super Slam (2 eggs, 2 pancakes, 2 sausages, 2 bacon, and hashbrowns) but it was not good at all, my sausages were cold, scrambled eggs were runny, pancakes were burnt and crispy (how do pancakes end up crispy?); my wife was eating her pancakes when she noticed that there was chocolate on her plate, we hope it was just left over chocolate from the griddle and not from the plate.
When we received the check we noticed an additional item on the check (an extra drink) but they did correct it after we brought it up. Normally Denny's is great, but I think this one is the exception to the rule, I would highly suggest avoiding...
Read moreSo I just left this place but we came only three of us and we wanted to eat here for dinner and to celebrate a birthday but the waitress lady did not do an excellent job serving us. Don’t get me wrong she was polite but whenever I asked a question she would not answer and she had on a “I don’t wanna be here” type face which I understand it’s late and you wanna go home but in order to work in a restaurant you have to greet people with a smile and be able to answer their questions without any issues/or attitudes. We ordered coffee and she spilled it but she came back with the coffee mugs all with coffee, she didn’t bother to clean the cups or even change them but she did clean her area where she spilt the coffee. We decided to leave because she left and did not take our order and as we were paying for just the coffees I had asked if it was possible to not pay for one of the coffees because I did not decide to drink it and I didn’t want to waste money on something I didn’t touch or drink, but she ignored me and looked frustrated and gave us the total for two coffees. The silverwares were dirty and we had asked to get them washed properly and brought back but she gave us plastic silverware and said there was no dishwasher working. Again I’m not trying to make a whole fuss about this but in order to run a business, you need employees to be able to work and do the job (only about 2-3 employees working) I hope something gets done because this was a...
