Walked into the place with a terrible smell..like old mop water..very stale. Sat down to a sticky table with sticky menus. Our server was Dee...the drink was served with something floating in both cups frozen in the ice(original and replacement) Final straw was paying the tab...if you pay cash watch closely. Our bill was $87 minus the tainted drink $84. We paid $100 but was only given $12 back. Asked for receipt, she handed us the old crumpled one from the trash. We asked abt the missing $4 as we already paid gratuity bc of our party... she "thanked" my husband for catching the mistake..gave him $3 then disappeared in the back. My husband had to send someone for her to give the remainder...now imagine how many people she's done this to who didn't think to look bc you don't assume you'd be stolen from no matter how small. Honesty is a lost art and to think we were discussing paying a little more to round out the tip from gratuity before we caught the "mistake". First and LAST time coming here.....
Edit: Ty for the response. She brought us our change just as you advised, however counting the money back we were short and she had moved on. She came to our table with change advising "your change includes $.12 but I couldn't find the change so I gave you a quarter" as if she were doing us a favor..completely neglecting the $4 she didn't include, Thus concluding our interaction. She wasn't looking for more change and we wouldnt have caught it if we werent looking to give her more ON TOP OF GRATUITY to round out the tip. We walked up to the booth to ask abt the missing remaining money which is when we found out abt the receipt issue. One thing I believe in is tipping even for subpar service as I know how hard it is being a server and I'm very thankful for anyone taking on my large family. But to TAKE it is absolutely unacceptable...Then to spin it as an "oopsie" is crazy. My review stands.. to any future customers, especially if paying in cash.... COUNT...
Read moreI totally understand why the place only had 10 people in the whole place. The bartender (katy) was terrible absolutely terrible. We walk in to get our order (via grubhub) i didn't realize it didnt put it under my last name. She was very rude when she said I DONT have an order under that. Ok sorry maybe under my 1st name. Tells me it's not ready. I ask about how long it will be (according to my confirmation it should have been ready). She then states I don't know i will have to go in the back and check. (She didnt) she then goes around the bar and does whatever. She doesn't offer a drink or anything while we wait. Meanwhile 2 other guest ask for their tabs. And another guest ask for the rest of their order. She proceeds to go in the kitchen and yell/speak so loud we hear it at the bar. 2 more people walk in sit at bar. Another employee walks over to us and apologizes to us for how rude (katy) was being. An employee had to go tell her that her customers were asking for her. So she stomps out and takes care of them. Walks back over to us and asks what we want. I was confused because well I told her when we walked in before. Anyway I say we are waiting on our food. At this point a different employee walks out with our order and hands it to us. We thank her and turn to leave (Katy) then yells out "YEAH CUZ I MUST RET@RDED. CUZ IM RET@ATED." we continued to walk out because I didn't know if she was speaking with us or someone else. All we wanted was some food. We didn't mind waiting would've ordered a drink to wait but we weren't ever able/offered anything. It was as if we were bothering her. I was very uncomfortable. I don't usually give reviews because, let's be real, nobody cares. However, this bother me so much I felt that it warranted one. Food...
Read moreBlonde at the bar is flat out rude and not very bright! Management doesn't care so I will never return. Too many other better options between here and Atlanta.
UPDATE 3/20/24 Gave this place another try. Walked in and the bartender looked me in the eyes and gave me attitude and dismissive body language as the server sat us. I'm thinking, OK! Received my salad and there was no salt/pepper at the table. Goes to bar for some, Me: may I have some salt 🧂 & pepper plz? Bartender: "I'm not too bright, I'll see if I can find some" and walks off. When she returns with the shakers, I asked her what she said to be sure then asked her did she know me? What was her problem? And to that she replied: "You left a review about me not being bright!"
I vaguely remembered the encounter or review but went back to our table, went to Google and my memory of the horrible encounter became more vivid.
I then spoke with the cook who I suppose is the manager on duty and let's just say, he towed the line of comping out meal and making excuses for the main bartender as before. Also stating that she gets complaints often & doesn't know how she still has employment there.
I don't know what's going on, who's zooming who or what but Riley the server was as excellent as she was in previous visits.
I've come to know that the owners own Mr. Wings on Manchester. I hope they see this and reprimand or whatever they see fit, the blonde bartender Katie. I don't know what her deal is, if it's racial or what but It never was rude or disrespectful. She has had an issue with me from the outset for no apparent reason so one has to wonder.
Shame on me for giving them...
