First let me say that I have been a long long time Donatos customer. And I have had very few issues and the ones that I have had were immediately corrected and remedied without any issues. So I hate to even do this. But I don't know if it's because most of my interactions were when I lived in Bexley, but now that I've moved to Clintonville and now my local store is on High Street I have had nothing but the worst customer service I think I've ever had. Now besides a ton of little issues like always forgetting the dressing putting marinara on things that I specifically asked for no marinara there seems to always be an issue with the order. Now this latest issue happened a couple weeks ago I ordered a mariachi chicken pizza. First off, it took forever and a day to get here. I started to eat and a few pieces in i then reached a corner piece. And to my disgust there was a three to four inch white hair attached to the bottom of the piece and underneath the next piece to it. Immediately call the location to notify them of the situation. I speak to a female manager who immediately denies anyone there having white hair. I suggest that maybe someone has a pet with white hair, that to got immediately denied by her. I don't know how she would know if someone has a pet with white hair or their interactions with animals with white hair but I guess she knows everyone's personal life. Take in mind I'm 30 years old and have not a single white hair nor do I have any pets( i have 2 fish and that's all i have for pets) or friends with white hair. So I don't even understand how a white hair would get under a pizza unless someone there accidentally had contact with the pizza and had loose hair. So she was quick to dismiss me and said she would give me a credit on my phone number for the Mariachi Pizza. Fast forward to today I place an order online. The balance does not reflect any credit online. So I call in to the store to see if it was applied. The young man that answered saw no history of a credit online or on the computer and went to go check , meanwhile I was placed on hold. I was left on hold for 7-8 minutes. So I called back, this time I got a lady. I explained to her what had just happened she then apologized and checked the computer. She also continued to say that there was no credit on there and nothing had been applied I explained to her the situation about the Mariachi Pizza. She said she was a willing, like I was lying, to help me out this one time and that's all she could do for me. Like I was asking for more than that. In a very rude tone not to mention. Then the order arrives, classic, they didn't bring the dressings i ordered and would pay for. I even wrote in the special directions to not forget the dressings. I am so through with calling and being treated like I'm a liar and never getting what i order. I spend at least $40 there a week for the past couple years and maybe not at that store specifically but with Donatos. And I think I've only ever gotten, besides this one, one other credit. And they've all been at that location. If that doesn't tell you something right there about their ability to make an order correctly. Or their lack of customer service. I know one thing there are way better options around here so i think i'll take business elsewhere. And i hate to say this being a waitress myself but i guess there's only 2 groups of people that work pizza places(minimum wage),...
Read moreThis is the first time I have ever written a review.. ever. But my experience on the phone with Allen, an employees at the OSU donatos was one of the single worst interactions I have ever had with a restaurant employee.
The night before last night my group ordered around forty dollars worth of food via delivery from donatos.. we never got the food. I followed up the next day as I figured someone had snatched it in our building or out on the street. I wanted to know if the driver remembered who had taken it or what the situation was. I was NOT inquiring about a possible refund or re-delivery. In my mind those options were off the table as this had happened the night before. Allen answered the phone and was immediately aggressive, rude, and it was an embarrassing display of customer service. He accused me of making the whole thing up, called me "Unusual", and told me I was not a valued customer. He claimed last night was my first order, but when he looked up my number in the system he found that I had ordered from this location 10 plus times.
I was horrified by how this employee made me feel, the insults levied against me, and I hope donatos managers sit down with this employee and explain the basic tenants of customer service. Just an embarrassing look for this location. I will make sure I follow up with the regional manager and...
Read moreHonestly never really been a fan, but I'll eat Donato's original crust at someone else's expense. We wanted something different last night so we made the mistake of trying the hand tossed pizza yesterday for thicker more traditional crust. It's really NOT good! Mushy-mealy crust texture, no chew, or pull and it has a really bad flavor/aftertaste that makes me think it's premade and old crust. The pepperonis were too few, not what Donato's is known for and they were barely warmed, they looked kinda melted into the pizza, not charred, crispy or fatty..... same as the cheese. The whole pizza seemed "reheated" rather than baked. Even the mushrooms....If I had no visual confirmation of mushrooms I would not have even known they were in my mouth. It Was a very sad pizza! We Also got wings which were what I expected from a pizza place, soggy skin, pizza oven wings. But we got 9 flats and 1 drum which sucked for my better half who only eats the drum. Too much sauce on the wings and pizza for my taste. Then there is the $4.59 delivery fee... we almost didn't click "Order Now" wish I'd listened to my instinct....
