I have been eating from here for a while. Now since it's under new management it seems that customer care has went out the window. I called in and ordered a 12 inch motor City meatball sub and a salad, they are my favorite from this place. The delivery was quick but I was quite puzzled when I opened the door and saw a pizza box. Apparently the lady must have not heard the sub part and sent me a medium meatball pizza. After laughing off the mistake and assuring the delivery guy that I was fine with it instead I sat my food down. Going for the salad first I flip open the lid and dump it into a bigger bowl revealing the decomposing and molded bottom of the salad. At this point I was pretty bummed. I called to talk to a manager and the owner answered. He talked very fast and unclear seemly getting mad at me asking to repeat himself because I couldn't quite understand him. I had told him about the sub mistake and told him that I wasn't really bothered with that as much as the moldy salad. He repeatedly told me he would give me a credit for the salad. At that time I told him I just wanted my money back and he keep telling me that he would just give me a credit. I don't feel it's fair to take someone's money and hold on to it like that. I was more than willing to trade him back his black moldy salad for my $5 back. After he kept repeating that he was giving me a credit I just decided to give up. Not really worth getting all worked up over a 5 dollar salad but it sucks to just have someone take your money like that. That 5 bucks is lost because after listening to the owner and how he handled the situation I won't be returning. Sad before they switched owners I used to really like the subs here.... That's my story of my one star experience with cottage inn on High Street.
Update; They were quick to respond on here but I actually took the time to email them. No response. Shows you that this company truly has forgotten about customer care. They definitely don't seem interested in making it right.

First time ever going there, I looked it up online thinking it would be a great place to go. Very disappointed the pizza sauce didn’t have any flavor for me to ask for extra sauce. The pizza is self on one the Italian sausage taste like process sausage pieces instead of fresh sausage horrible. The second pizza had breaded chicken on it and it tasted like process chicken meat Didn’t taste the pizza sauce at all. I tasted more of the hot honey sauce than anything horrible. The chicken wings were so small and tasted like frozen chicken wings. You get at the grocery store, not fresh chicken wing dings at all. Taste it really terrible to me like just cheap products , the apple cheesecake pizza didn’t have enough cheesecake filling. I could barely even taste the filling and all I could taste was the overly sweet apple pie filling which I couldn’t even eat it. I am so disappointed and disgusted with the pizza and the rest of the food. I personally will not go back again , I thought because it said it had so many stars that it was really a good pizza place to go to it’s not for me. I don’t even like little Caesars pizza but at this point I wish I would’ve went to Little Caesars instead of going there in my opinion. Little Caesars pizza taste a lot better than them and I’m not a Little Caesars fan. I was really disappointed that I even went there. I would’ve wished I would have went to a different pizza place. I would not highly recommend anybody going there not unless you’ve been there and you absolutely like it yourself. But for me is an absolutely hell no, it’s a no for me , no one in the house like anything at all it was straight garbage 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮. Not to mention the customer service was terrible. Read morePizza is really good, their deep dish pizza is awesome, cottage inn is my number one go to for deep dish pizza! And their golden tangy BBQ sauce is freaking amazing 👏. Definitely go for one of the specialty pizzas. See edit.
Edit, from 5 to 3 & reason why: Unfortunately I've had to update this review, their pizza quality has not changed and it still remains my personal favorite, but unfortunately I will not be returning on principal simply due to the rude quality of service I recently received. I had ordered a pizza for pick-up and gotten the wrong pizza sauce. I was not sure if this was my mistake or theirs, either way, no big deal. I called back stating "I may have made a mistake, I'm not sure" and asked if I could order another at somewhat of a discount for the sake of ordering a second unnecessarily. If denied, again no big deal, I just wouldn't order another and lived with it, instead a man took the phone from the person I was speaking to mid sentence, rudely asked what I wanted, I explained again, then after looking at the order details, he adamantly stated that this was my mistake not his and that it was 'my fault, and my mistake, not his.' Which I replied, "I never said it was your mistake sir." Then he rushed me into gathering what I wanted, stating that they are very busy. Although, it only would take 10 minutes to complete my order. I strongly dislike being disrespected so the only reason I leave 3 stars rather than 1 is because he did allow me 15% off the order which is fair as I half expected nothing, but far more importantly, a much more courteous employee dealt with me on arrival and saved my opinion of the business as a whole; although I still won't be returning on principal.
