If you're going just for the food, this place is perfect. I especially love the duck. However, my experiences there have been far from pleasant.
One time, I went there after jogging and only brought one credit card. Unfortunately, they didn't accept it and blamed me for not reading the payment information near the counter before dining in. They insisted I bring another card to pay the bill and kept my ID card until I returned. This was extremely humiliating. I've never had such an experience at any other restaurant. I understand that some places accept limited credit cards, but holding onto a customer's belongings and making them return is completely unacceptable. Even if they had allowed me to pay the next day, I would have been happy to go back and have dinner there again, but they didn't.
On another occasion, I went there with a group. They messed up the bill, causing someone in my group to pay less. They persuaded me to cover the extra amount and settle with my friend personally, even though my friend was willing to pay the difference. They seemed upset at the idea of processing another transaction.
These experiences have made me reluctant to return, despite the...
Read moreThe woman that answered to take my order was so pleasant. When I got there she still had the same nice dameanor. After using the checkout tablet she offered me hand sanitizer, which usually never happens when I go to a restaurant, even with covid and everything literally the first restaurant to offer that. My order was verified and ready when I got there. The spicy shrimp lo mein was very good, not dry like recent lo mein that I've had, also not too spicy where you can't enjoy it. The Sesame chicken was so tasty, it not like you're standard ball of chicken that's fried, where you may get more batter than chicken, it's more chicken then breading and I really appreciate that. The Sesame sauce is more like there own kind of BBQ sauce as they stated in the menu. Overall a very good experience and the best part was the EGG ROLL !!!!! I ONLY GOT ONE AND PROBABLY SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN 3 PORK EGG ROLLS !!! ID GO HERE FOR THE EGG ROLLS ALONE. Highly...
Read moreStill my favorite choice for Chinese food in Columbus! The freshest vegetables, and the best cuts of chicken and pork I’ve ever eaten at a Chinese restaurant contribute to a wonderful meal every time. Recommended: hot tea; seasonal vegetables; Szechuan chicken and string beans w/black bean sauce; Hong Kong style wanton soup; fried tofu; General Tso’s tofu; shrimp and black bean sauce; Chinese fried rice. Also, for those interested in more “authentic” or adventurous Chinese fare, there’s an extensive menu of interesting dishes to choose from. Ask about the monthly special comfort food menu prepared by the proprietor for ex-pat Chinese students at OSU. The congee and youtiao were great! Prices are a cut above other campus area Chinese fare, but well more than worth it. A recent dinner for two consisted of hot tea for two, two egg rolls, da dou miao (garlicky stir-fried pea shoots), won ton soup for two, and Szechuan...
