I have been going to this restaurant for years! Have brought family and friends here. Have never really encountered any issues until last night. I took my son there after ranting and raving about how excellent the food was and how everyone is so nice. He orders the tilapia and didn't like the taste of it. Wasn't well prepared and tasted like eggs. I immediately informed our waitress and requested that we order a replacement. She immediately told me no. So I asked to speak with the manager. A lady came over and told us that the most she can do is give me 20% off the meal and we take the food home!?! I asked her why would I pay for and take home a meal that taste awful and I do not like? Again,I told her all I want is to exchange it for something else. I asked to speak to the owner. She came back a short time later and told me that the owner agreed to take the meal off my bill. So I asked her if we can order something else? This was about 9:20pm. The restaurant closes at 10pm. She proceeds to tell me that the kitchen is closed!?! But at 9:30, a couple comes in to order takeout and their order was taken; and previously I had requested to order takeout for my man and so the waitress comes to verify that I still wanted that order to go through. I thought the kitchen was closed? She could not answer. Apparently at this restaurant, you have to know exactly if you like what you order before you order it because if you don't like it, watch out!!!...

I used to order from this place a few years ago and thought it was ok. So, I thought today I'd try again. Meh, ok at best. The California roll was good, but I found something odd to me in the other two. The spicy tuna roll had a filler in the mixture and the shrimp tempura roll had lettuce in it. The spicy tuna was for a co-worker who told me about it, or I would never know. I found it bizzare to have lettuce in sushi rolls though! So, that took from my experience. I ordered the 3-roll combo and asked that the tuna be separated...no biggie right?! Wrong! When I picked up my order I was told that was not allowed or acceptable. They would go ahead this time since I didn't know, but not anymore! Hmm, well ok, whatever, not going to fuss over it. I asked for extra soy sauce on my order (since there's two people, three rolls, and well, I like soy sauce!) I got 3, yes THREE, packets. That's not nearly enough if you ask me, again, I like soy sauce. But thankfully, since it was a to go order, I had more in my desk at work.

Just seems to me like they are trying to be cheap and take shortcuts. Filler in tuna, lettuce in tempura roll, extra container a big deal, and like there's a shortage on soy sauce!!

I don't see me going back here; there are too many fantastic chinese/japanese restaurants in this area to be bothered with just ok food.

Just my two...

Took my wife and daughter for lunch today and it was bad . The first young lady didn’t speak English very well and messed up our appetizers, which we did not complain just kept the extra we did not order . I had steak and shrimp , my wife and daughter had chicken and shrimp. I ordered my steak medium rare , it was over cooked and chewy very poor quality of meat. But the worst part was the vegetables were not cooked at all. The carrots were rock hard , even the onions were not cooked !We could not even eat them . Told the waiter twice he said sorry , did not offer to replace with cooked food we could eat ! Then when I got my check , gave him my credit card he ran someone else bill on my card . We have been there is past and had good meals , but this was so bad I will never be back . Was a water of money , how do you treat customers like this and stay in business. I have had poor meals from restaurants in the past And never complained but this was the worst experience ever and I had to share because they did...

I tried this place for the 1st time around 9:00pm on a Friday night. The egg roll was underwhelming. I barely touched the shrimp pad Thai. The noodles were thinner than Ive ever seen (with this dish) and the sauce was dark, runny and so sweet it made me kinda nauseous. All the Pad Thai Ive enjoyed has kind of a curry type flavored sauce. To even eat the leftovers I'm going to have to add my own sauce to change the flavor. I also tried my friends General Tso's chicken and once again, his sauce was "off", like a chili powder flavor almost, unlike any other General Tso's sauce I've had. There is usually a soy sauce and red chili sauce combined flavor. It's almost like they're trying to reinvent the wheel here or something. Not a fan and won't be back. This is the exact reason I normally don't try new restaurants but rather stick with my favorites to avoind wasting time and money.

Stumbled across this spot and I'm so glad I did! The food is amazing and the restaurant itself is really nice as well. All I've had so far is each of the hibachi meals and they have been stellar! Excellent value and delicious. I could eat here multiple times a week. I want to try the rest of the menu but I can't stop ordering the hibachi. I also order the salt and pepper wings as an appetizer and they may be my favorite salt and pepper wings from a Chinese restaurant in the city. Sakana has become my new favorite Chinese/Asian food spot. I highly recommend it! So far I've only dined in so I can't speak on carry out but every time I've been there, there has been a nonstop flow of people coming in for carry out so I'm guessing it's just as good to go

Finally decided to give this place a try and definitely not disappointed. Took the family and tried some unfamiliar dishes. The service was hands down excellent, server was very attentive and helpful. Restaurant was very clean and the atmosphere quite pleasant. The food exceeded all expectations, egg rolls were well received by the whole family, fried dumplings were also a hit as well as the rangoons. Entrees were very generously portioned, all of us took to-go boxes. Great trip, even got my super picky child to realize he likes some foods he thought he didn't. They did an awesome job, wish I had taken some pictures as presentation was spot-on. Will definitely visit again. 😊
