Food was okay, drinks were okay. It was a first date, the company made it special, but overall we both said we wouldn't be back. We got the nachos, which were basic and flavorless, I got the quesadilla and it was actually leaning towards being better than some Mexican restaurants I've been to, lots of meat and peppers, and then he got the wings and he loves wings, said he only ate as many as he did because he didn't want to waste his money, but that they weren't really good and he'd never come back for them. We got some sort of redbull and vodka drink they were doing and that was okay, but I couldn't really taste the alcohol that much, then I got some sour drink they have on the menu that's made with dark liquor, it's a mixed special drink and it was super sour and not particularly fun to drink, I regretted ordering it. My date got 2 shots of a bourbon he'd never heard of before (we both prefer dark liquor and have been to tastings) he liked it and I will say that they had an extensive liquor list and that was very appealing. The waitress was very nice and attentive, she talked too much, but overall it was endearing and cute that she bragged about another employees acting career finally getting better and told us what shows he was in and I found it very cute being that I'm a mom. Service was excellent, liquor list was looking good, just the food overall is basic and...
Read moreWow this place is so bad. Hands down worst service I've ever experienced at a restaurant. This was a Wednesday night at 8PM... The entire restaurant had 5 tables with people. We had 5 people at our table we all ordered our food and an additional togo order. The togo order arrived to the table a full 35 minutes before we got our food. Our actual orders for dine in food took a little over an hour to get to the table. Even complained about the service to the manger and I'm not sure he could have cared any less. The fact we were there for 2 hours and 5 minutes for 5 people to eat and our togo order was an hour old before we left is a joke. Its a shame they really don't seem to care about the service side because the food was good.
This is the fourth time we have been here and of those four times only once did we have service that was decent, tonight was by far the worst. Wont be back again there are many other options closer by that do a much better job. This is just another generic sports bar type place with average food but garbage service, and possibly even...
Read moreI love Winking Lizard! It's one of my grandma and I's favorite places to grab lunch after a morning full of grocery shopping. According to our waitress, a lot of the food and sauces are made from scratch, unlike "the other wing place I worked at", and you can tell based on the quality of the food! Our favorite quick lunch is the grilled chicken wrap, but I love going in to see what the monthly specials are- I have yet to be disappointed!
I took my husband for the first time during their clam bake special, and we got a meal that included steamed clams and lobster tail. The hubster and I eat lobster anywhere that serves it (think Ocean Club, Hyde Park...), and when I tell you that the Winking Lizard had the best lobster we've ever had, I'm not joking. It was phenomenal! I wish they had it on the menu more than once a year, because it was just absolutely delicious- very buttery and flavorful, and cooked perfectly.
Also, their beer and drink menu are amazing! They have a ton of beer on tap, unique cocktails, and a huge selection of Bourbon and whiskey. I just love...
