The pizzas sit in a rack on the front counter & have a lot of eye appeal. I ordered 2 slices from the fresh looking pizzas on top. Apparently that was intolerable to Sarafino's employees, who denied me ordering selected slices and stated it was a health code violation to serve that way! They wanted to serve me the remaining slices from earlier in the day, which may have been ok but I preferred the newer. They made a big stink about it & resentfully & rudely ended up complying with my request. I asked for a simple refund of my purchase, which had not been served yet, but they ignored my requests. Employees kept walking over & asked what's going on & then insisting it's a health code violation to choose your slices! I never raised my voice or used foul language, but I was rudely tossed my order. As I was walking away, yet another employee accosted me for daring to select my slices & told me not to come back!! I said "Are you drunk?" I heard her & the employees forcing a laugh at my expense as I walked away, trying to add insult to injury. The pizza itself is always plain but I buy a slice now & then anyway. But with rude service like this I might as well find...
Read moreNot sure who the normal crew is but we’ve been here before and must have gotten the C-squad working on a Monday. The young guy up front didn’t say a single word to me, seemed like an inconvenience for me to order. I don’t expect you to initiate or keep a conversation going but when I say “how’s it going today?” You can do something more than just give me a non verbal blank stare. I asked about one of the pizzas toppings and just got the same blank stare by the dude at the register. I ordered 4 pieces of pizza and as he was stacking them he dropped each pizza like a foot up from each other and after bagging them, held all the pieces up towards his head and plopped them all down and went back to talking with co workers. It splattered in the bag, the paper on top stuck to the pizza and took all the cheese and toppings off. I have been here before and did not have this experience but felt like the guy is either on his way out or looking to get fired for...
Read moreWord on the street was this place had killer pizza. I was staying at the Hampton Inn and didn’t want to drive but Grubhub was telling me sarefinos was closed. So, in frustration I decided to just walk across the street to this MarketNorth pavilion that I was told had many different vendors. Stopped and had a slice of pizza and it was AMAZING. Had a 2nd piece...AMAZING. When walking out I only then noticed their sign that said Sarefinos Pizza. It was as good as reviews said. It’s NY Style thin and even the bottom has a nice crunch. Sauce is perfect and subtle, not too much and just awesome pizza!!! If you are staying at the Hampton Inn, come across the street to what looks like a grocery store building and walk to the back wall and loom for the only...
