I’ve gone to Starbucks thousands of times - literally have had the gold card for over 10+ years; and go to Starbs nearly 5x a week back home.
I’ve never had such a poor experience at a Starbucks in my life.
I say this with no exaggeration I literally waited 40 minutes for a grande pumpkin cream cold brew. I literally ordered at 11:07 am and didn’t get my cold brew until 11:47 am AFTER I asked for a refund and miraculously they were able to make my drink within 2 minutes (they had lost my ticket). I did not get a refund - nobody got compensated for wasted time, and the drink was absolutely awful (to the point I went to another Starbucks after and ordered the same drink again which tasted delish)! I could get if I got a complicated drink and it tasted inadequate but a pumpkin cream cold brew is literally a seasonal flavor that tastes two minutes to whip up. It’s cold brew with pumpkin cream on top — like c’mon people!
This is not the Starbucks way. I am from WA State and I know the Starbucks culture is to compensate people for poor service/waiting too long for a drink/wrong order/ order not to taste etc. They could have upgraded, and/or given a refund. They didn’t do either.
I’ll give credit to ONE of the female employees who was tremendous in trying to do her best to carry her team and catch up on the backlog—but it wasn’t enough. Everyone else flailed under pressure and it was a disaster.
I’m giving 2 stars for the female employee who tried her best; the store is otherwise clean with decent selection; and they have a good set up inside.
It is disappointing they don’t have nitro options; but it’s not as disappointing as the service customers received here today.
FYI: I came here the day before too, and was underwhelmed with the service and cold brew—so apparently even if they are not busy the quality...
Read moreI've been coming to this location faithfully every day for 3 years. I've seen many employees come and go. Justin has been the manager ever since I can remember. Over the last month and a half they have consistently got my coffee order wrong. My wife was in line at 4:40 in the afternoon when Starbucks was closing at 5:00. She arrived at the speaker at 4:57. There was one car behind her. A female employee told her that they were closed period my wife replied by saying that it was 457 and it was only her and one other car in the line. The female employee replied with" TOO BAD, WE ARE CLOSED". I confront the manager Justin about the situation and let him know that I was not too pleased. I don't know what happened. last week I went inside to order my coffee because the previous day it was made incorrectly. I spoke to the gentleman who made my coffee the previous day and told him make sure you don't screw my coffee up this time please. A female employee came over named Janie and stated sir there's no need to get aggressive. Well this just angered me to no end. I've noticed over the last year. Janie can be sometimes aggressive herself with customers in a little bit rude. I went outside and spoke with Justin who was on his cell phone. This seems to be a common trend lately with the manager talking on his cell phone outside smoking on his vape not managing his employees. I told him what had happened and that I would never be coming back there. It's sad, it really is customer service is a dying etiquette and not to mention that they consistently mess up people's orders. Take care of Starbucks you will not be getting any of my family's...
Read moreUpdate from 3 stars to only 1 star on 18Jun22. Just stopped by once to this location after 8 months of making another coffee shop my regular stop. Still just as slow and disorganized as ever. Over 30 minutes just for two food items I ordered. I only received one after 20 minutes and kept asking about the second. After another 10 minutes I just asked for a refund and went to another location. The people bringing food from the prep area just sit it behind the counter and leave it there while people are standing around hoping one of the workers will show mercy and actually hand out the food. Ive been to three other Starbucks in Columbus in the last couple months; this is the only location that hides the food orders behind the counter. Come on, higher management, get involved!
Original review: Slowest Starbucks in the Columbus area. If you're on your way to work in the morning and looking for a cup of coffee, avoid. I started doing mobile orders thinking if I ordered before I lefr my house, my drink would be done when I arrived. Instead, this store (and only this store Ive seen) has a policy that they won't start mobile orders until you actually arrive in the store. Even then it can sometimes take 5-10 minutes just to get someone's attention long enough to let them know your there. Go to Midland or Bradley Park as they don't seem to have any issue getting orders...
