Visited 5/7/22 This is our first time visiting a juice shop and this place doesn’t disappoint. If you’re into healthy juices or smoothies this is the place for you. They even have vegan cheesecake! Their signature dish! Just minutes from DownTown Columbus. The owners were both present and were super knowledgeable, and friendly. They took time to explain for folks like us who had no idea about healthy juicing or agave, or spirulina etc. it was good conversation with them. They enjoy biking and hiking. We ordered the; “Morning Dew” pineapple, banana, spinach, and agave** The morning due had a flavor of sweet fruity taste. It is surprisingly very good. “Goddess” Apple, oats, cinnamon, maple syrup, banana, oat milk. The goddess taste as if you’re eating a bowl of instant oatmeal. The flavor is on the tip of your tongue and enjoyable. Definitely a great breakfast smoothie. I also tried the “French Press” for the first time, dark roast and it was amazing. Check out the video of the press in action. Can’t find video click my name and view photos/videos The beans used are grown in shade, the owners said reduces the acidity of the coffee compared to coffee beans grown in direct sunlight. Those beans have about two levels higher in acidity. Good info! We also got a ginger shot, it’s good for inflammation and uh… can’t remember what I was told. :( it is powerful shot of ginger and citrus. This place is clean, has nice sitting areas to enjoy your beverage of choice and or read a book. Definitely good to support local businesses! Check them out. Read more below about sweeteners used. ———— We asked about agave nectar, online says “is often referred to as agave syrup. It’s found in various health foods and marketed as a natural, diabetic-friendly sweetener that doesn’t spike your blood sugar levels.” The harmful effects of agave — and sugar in general — have very little to do with the glycemic index but everything to do with the large amounts of fructose — and agave nectar is very high in fructose. We also asked about Spirulina, it’s mains compound “phycocyanin” which has powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties has various nutrients and antioxidants that benefit your body and brain. It is a type of cyanobacteria, which is a family of single-celled microbes that are often referred to as blue-green algae. Thanks

Whatta find in downtown Columbus! The owners here were super friendly and helpful and described everything for me. They also had regulars coming in. I was really pleased by the balance of tart and sweet in the strong green juice - it was refreshing and made you feel good inside. I also got decaf coffee with a bit of oat milk and it was love at first sip - just like they said, their coffee is smooth and less bitter than most, and it is fresh ground too. I bet I could have even enjoyed it black even though I don’t usually. The owner was nice enough to give me a sample of their date bites, which went extremely well with the coffee. Rich and subtly sweet, these desserts and the coffee also made me feel good and were filling as well. I would love to come back to try their smoothies!! Update: tried one of their new açaí bowls (pineapple coconut) and it did not disappoint! There were a lot of toppings but none were overpowering so that the açaí flavor came through. I personally typically like more smoothie in fun bowls like this compared to the toppings. Super tasty and I’m so excited to have a go-to spot for smoothies and bowls now!

Felt a little sluggish this morning so I knew just where to go! The Nifty Beet had just what I needed. Everything here is fresh, healthy and delicious! The juices here are REAL juice. Nothing weird added! I love Liquid Sunshine especially if I feel a cold coming on or it's a gloomy day! Sweet beets is so sweet and delish and helps me feel more energetic. Also beets can help lower blood pressure. My current favorite is The Blue One. It's made with pineapple, orange and apple and it puts a smile on my face! Each bottle of their juices has about a pound of fruits or vegetables in them! I also adore their French press coffee, smoothies and toasts! I like to sit by the window and people watch. You can come here alone and you won't feel lonely. VERY friendly and welcoming here. This neighborhood spot is located at 901 Washington St.
