WAFFLE HOUSE # 736 in NC

Thursday 16th March 2023 around 5pm I walked in this Waffle House # 736, They greeted me with a smiles and a warm hello’s which is always nice but I quickly realized they are Dead between the ears!!! I sat at a booth and ordered my regular bacon & eggs with coffee & water, no sooner had I received my meal than one of the braindead employees climb’s a ladder practically above me and he starts installing his freshly wiped Ceiling Tiles!! ( SEE PHOTOS ) I was in total disbelief and I immediately moved to the bar stool seats with my meal! I just couldn’t believe that happened! Now as for meal, My over easy Eggs over were undercooked (very watery) I didn’t complain just ate them and bacon was just ok but Extremely THIN! Coffee was good but after looking into my dirty cup and seeing food or something stuck to the inside of my cup (SEE PHOTOS) I was once again very disappointed! I got the bill and asked for a military discount which they said they don’t honor which just Baffles me since Waffle House was Founded by Veterans!!! The manager did give me a one time discount but said they don’t give military discounts! He said if the were closer to a military installation they would give discounts? I’m still baffled by this response, it Shouldn’t matter where they are to me, that...

I've eaten at this Waffle House several times with no issues. Food was good and staff was friendly. Last night was a different story. I worked late and went here to eat dinner at 8:50 PM. There were several tables of patrons eating. When I walked in I was told by one of the two employees there that they were not serving food. I asked why since Waffle House is open 24 hours and was told that it was time for a shift change and the next shift is always late so they weren't serving food until the next shift arrived. I repeated what she said to make sure I understood correctly. Keep in mind that she was just standing there talking to customers and the other employee was sitting at a booth eating. Neither was working.

I left and went across the street to McDonalds. They were busy and when the food took a little longer than usual, the employee explained that her manager and another employee had just quit so they were a little backed up. Her shift was over, but she stayed to continue waiting on customers. She said they would make every effort to get my food out shortly...and she did. The food was ready a few minutes later. This is what good customer service looks like even when conditions...

Usually the service is good, but the waitress this evening is in the wrong profession. Twice now I've been over charged and when I questioned the waitress she said, and I quote, "Well, I don't know what to tell you". Then she just walked away. The restaurant was full, but most of the booths had already been waited on. There were only three booths that were being waited on to place orders. She brought the food out separately over a 10 minute time frame. I first got my eggs scrambled with cheese, a few minutes later I got my bacon, then a few minutes after that I finally got my toast (which is what she had overcharged me on). I can appreciate being busy if you are just one person waiting tables, but what I don't appreciate is getting a smart attitude when I'm trying to explain that you charged me wrong. And what I really don't appreciate is then going down to the last booth and complaining to those customers about me! This will be the last time I eat at this Waffle House. The one if Forest City is the same distance as this one and they don't have staff with...
