On Saturday August 30, 2025 in the afternoon, I stopped here to get an order of fries and drink. While at register I decided on a Biggie Bag with chicken sandwich, large fry and large drink. Also ordered a second large fry. Upon looking at my receipt, I realized there was only 1 large fry and tried to get the young lady that took my order, get her attn. she was busy with a customer ahead of me in line and ignored me and the next two customers behind me in line for approximately 7 to 8 minutes. Finally after getting the order ready for the lady in front of me in line she turned and saw that I was still standing at the register, and that there were now two other people behind me in line. She came over and I explained that I wanted 2 large fries and not just the one with the Biggie order. I told her I still wanted a second order of large fry and asked her to ring up a separate order.
I also told her that in her time of waiting for the items to be placed in the lady’s order ahead of me she should look at the register area from time to time to try and help other customers while waiting on food for first customer. She just gave me a half smile and didn’t say anything. When my order was finally done she tossed the bag on the counter and didn’t say anything. She went to register to take next order. I walked out to my car where my wife and dog were waiting, my wife said what took so long? You were in there 21 minutes. I started to tell her what all had happened and I took a bite into the chicken sandwich and could not bite through the chicken, Hard as rock.
So I went back in to take the sandwich back to get another. Upon reaching the counter area I could see there was a major discussion going on at the grill area with what looked like a manager and three or four employees. The young girl who took my order was just standing at counter with her back turned toward any customer that would be at counter. For about two minutes there was no communication with me and this young lady, she finally turned and saw me and came back over to register. She could see I was holding the sandwich and asked what would you like today?
I told her this was not edible and would like to speak with a manager. She walked over to the grill area and talked to a young man and within 10 to 15 seconds he approached the register area. He said “what can I get for you”. I told him about the sandwich and started to ask him what the problem was. He said “I’m working with new people “. I said ok, I get it, that’s a good reason or excuse. He immediately said “it’s not an excuse “ very abruptly. I asked his name and he told me Robert. He then took the sandwich from my hand and punched into register a new order and walked away. People in front of me waiting couldn’t believe what they had just seen. The gentleman in front of me turned to his wife and me and said,
“This is the world we live in. No common courtesy, no customer appreciation. We wait longer and pay more for it”. His wife said “we should have stopped at the prior exit and went to Chic Filet.” The customers behind me in line turned and walked out. I waited about five more minutes and the girl at counter looked at me and tossed bag on counter. She didn’t say anything. I approached and said is this mine, she just shook her head yes and rolled her eyes.
Probably one of the worst Wendy’s experiences for me after being a customer for over 54 years. This store, I will never return to. My hope is that this manager, Robert Castle, gets a better attitude and works better with his employees and trains them to be good customer service representatives. I’m sure Mr Thomas would have wanted that for...
Read moreI am highly disappointed in the customer service at this location. I felt rushed while placing my order in the drive-through. I feel like people are already going through unprecedented times related to this pandemic, so no one needs this extra added stress! If you wake up in the morning and do not like your job, then you need to change it instead of taking it out on customers who keep Wendy chain of restaurants open. People need to start boycotting these restaurants more and stand up for what is right. I placed a call to corporate and they stated the employees would be retrained. How about reaching out to the customers who just experienced the rudeness, poor customer service, and disrespect. These are really some sad times in America right now, when these big corporations are allowed to run the country. People forget they were not always millionaires and billionaires and they were average people just like the majority of the customers who helped these corporations get to where they are now. Spend more time on making sure employees are well qualified, visit some of these establishments, and observe for a week, incorporate mock customer service trainings. Some of these owners need to possibly put up hidden cameras and go in disguise to see how people are being treated just like that popular show, which did this on t.v. Would you want your loved ones mistreated and leaving a place feeling disrespected, not acknowledged, and in disbelief. Who knew that asking about various items on Wendy's menu because I could not see properly would cause an employee to have all this frustration and become impatient. I would like to give a special shout out to Ms. G, who is one of the managers at this New Albany, Fodor location. She went back inside when her shift was over and prepared my food personally and brought it out to me and apologized for the poor experience and insensitivity of her employees. I always tell people, you never know what a person is going through so treat people right. And this will also eliminate a lot of misunderstandings in this world. This encounter happened on September 19, 2020, at approximately around 3:30 pm. It was a female taking orders at this time, and it was a male manager. They both were responsible for this horrible experience! Again, Ms.G, I don't know how to fully pronounce her last name, but she was the only manager that did what was right and intervened to try and fix the issues. Please get rid of the bottlenecks in your system Wendy's or you are going to constantly...
Read moreSo this was the worst experience hand downs! Today is September 2 at noon I went through the drive-through. While placing my order the cashier interrupts me and then speaks over me. She was extremely rude! I was not given a total at the speaker nor was I greeted at the window. She simply took my money and was hateful. No thank you or nothing. I have spent thousands of dollars at this location not just for myself but for my father and grandmother as well. I called to speak to the manager and the lady at the drive-through answers the phone and refuses to give me her name and insinuates she is the manager. She does not try to address my situation or concern she simply says have a nice day and hangs up on me two times I will not hand my money to someone like this and be treated as such a manner! If she truly is the manager,You’re a franchise is going to go into the dirt because no one’s gonna spend their money there including me. I will be taking this to the highest on this one. They need to know how their “management” is treating Customers. When I pulled away and said thank you for being so nice (yes, I was being sarcastic), she said “Thank you for. NOT!” Who does this??? Or even Allows employees to speak to customers that way. Extremely poor customer skills and was out right rude. I will advise every single person I know and all my family to just pick another place. Definitely not New...
