This is by far the most delicious Middle Eastern restaurant in town with outstanding customer service and very affordable prices. Everything is made fresh and made with attention to flavor profile. The chicken shawarma main entree is HUGE and made with all white chicken breast bursting with juicy flavor. It comes with an option of rice, burgal or Fries, plus a stew to pour over the rice. We always opt for the curry which has an amazing tangy kick to it (not for those who are afraid of spice)! Aside from the entrees, my children always love the pita wraps. Our favorite is the "Natalie's favorite Pita" which has a skewer of Chicken kabob, which is ground up chicken grilled on a skewer then placed inside the pita with rice, a spicy sauce and some veggies. If you haven't tried this, its a MUST!
Over the years I've learned that Middle Eastern countries prepare their foods very differently and Anaam's shouldn't be compared to anything in Dearborn since those spots are typically Lebanese style. Anaam's has tasty dishes that you simply can't find anywhere else in the Detroit Metro area. This is what keeps us coming back.
If good clean food, amazing flavor profiles, and quality service is all important to you and your family, than this cute spot is the Middle Eastern...
Read moreI have no idea why it’s 4.5 stars for this place. The food was by far a disgrace to middle eastern food. Everything was bad. The chicken lemon rice soup was bland and bitter. The stew was so bad my dog wouldn’t eat it. I was so ashamed to even present the food. The grape leaves came squished in a small container and they seasoned the rice with some weird spices that made it taste horrible. The salad was the worst part. I ordered a fattoush and they sent me a salad with pepper and relish and I was so confused. When I spoke with the owner he told me it’s how they make their fattoush, change the name cus that’s not a fattoush. Everything went to waste and I felt so bad throwing it away but it was not edible. Sorry I know you put a lot of effort into the meal (not really) but I wouldn’t want anyone wasting...
Read moreKudos to Anaam's for having their own "style." However, because patrons expect a certain flavor when they order items offered by countless middle eastern restaurants, Anaam's SHOULD note that they dont offer Lebanese style. Failing to do so isnt fair, and wasnt a pleasant surprise for me personally. With all due respect, this isnt "authentic middle eastern." I was raised on "authentic" dishes, from both sides of the family, and never had anything like I tasted at Anaam's. It wasnt horrible, but it wasnt what a reasonable person ordering would expect, due to lack of info on the menu. Not my style at all, but I wish them the best, and hope they will make note on their ordering platforms, for their benefit, and...
