Just go to the Salisbury location. My girlfriend and I go there at least 2-3 times a week and are always taken care of. We happened to be in the Concord area so we stopped here at the Copperfield BreakfastTime. I didn't think this chain would let us down as bad as it did.
To start, we got sat in a reasonable time, and our order was promptly taken and the food was delivered quite fast. The table and seats were properly wiped down. Our waitress Ally was quick and precise and very understanding. These are the few positives.
As for the negatives, it started small, something I would've overlooked and said nothing about. The light fixture above our table was caked in dust and was very off-putting. My coffee was brought to me with coffee grounds floating on the top. I fished them out and went to add some sugar, but all the sugar in the container was clumped together solid. After exchanging the sugar, we waited for our food.
The food was delivered quite fast after ordering which was great, but my eggs (ordered over easy) were undercooked. After asking for them to be replaced, I was brought back the same exact eggs. The kitchen scooped my eggs from the plate and back onto the griddle and back to my plate. I knew it was the same eggs because they had the same cut from when I had them the first time and found that the whites were still runny. It may be nitpicky but I found that kinda disrespectful. None of this would be acceptable at the Salisbury location that we frequent.
Another complaint I have goes for all BreakfastTime locations (at least the ones we've been to); the window bacon is disgusting. Bacon doesn't take long to make and could be made to order. Some people prefer chewy bacon and some prefer crispy. When the bacon is made in bulk and made to sit in the window like that, it becomes unappealing and nobody gets a choice in how they want their bacon.
I had a waffle and a coffee and my girlfriend had the country fried steak. Due to the lowest tip option being 18%, our ticket came out to just over $30. I have no problem tipping good service, but when my hand is forced into a certain tip amount, it doesn't feel as good. Pay your employees a livable wage so they aren't forced to rely on tips.
Will not be coming back to this...
Read moreMy husband and I happened to be in the Concord area and he said he hadn't been in awhile but it was supposed to be good, but we were wrong.
For starters, maybe it's our fault for going on a Wednesday at 11am but they're open until 3pm so maybe they shouldn't be.
He ordered steak and eggs, steak medium and eggs over hard. Steak arrived well over well done, nearly burnt honestly and his eggs were basically raw, so over easy they may as well not have been cooked.
I ordered the friend chicken, bacon and provolone and first of all it's 2 patties, which is waaay too big but then the quality of the food is also off. The first patty is nice and breaded but soaking wet from the mayo which arrived dripping off the sandwhich and into my hand with every bite, I swear I got more mayo on my hands than I ate and the second patty was only half breaded. It really didn't taste like anything other than breading, like no seasoning or anything just a coating of breading.
Not great, couldn't really eat it and the fries were God awful too, if they had left it in the fryer any longer they would have been burnt, so hard I could barely bite into it.
I will say the waitress was nice and friendly, kept refilling our drinks and asking if we needed anything, I went through nearly 2 stacks of napkins trying to eat my meal and still did not come back satisfied.
For nearly $40 plus tip, not good bang for your buck or good quality. I would not bother coming on a weekday at least. Sadly,...
Read moreThis location is normally the best I have been to but recently the owner has neglected this location. Progressively, the owner has opted to pay less attention to this location. On too many occasions this summer there was no AC or a lack thereof. I have seen two pregnant waitresses faint because of the severe heat in the restaurant. The floors are very slippery because the of humidy. So far customers have pitched in to get fans for the staf but it is not enough. My understanding is that if there is no AC or the temperatures reach above a certain temperature the employer is violating OHSA! Well today it is cooler outside than it is inside. Customers have exited this location in droves because it is so miserably hot and the poor staff look like they are trying there best but losing. All the staff are doing their best to keep afloat . Over this summer I have seen several good staff persons leave because of these unbearable conditions. The owner just appears to have abandoned his people and don't care. SHAME ON OWNERSHIP! I will be calling any agency I can find to investigate this. I really appreciate the staff but I have a true disdain to the owners treatment of these folks!!! The staff is terrified and afraid to ask anything of the owners for fear of being fired. At the very least they should be allowed to buy fans . The temperature in here is...
