Waffle House — Restaurant in Concord

Well let me start out about our waiter, his name is Doug. If he was having a bad day he should have stayed home instead of coming to work. He acted like a little a__ to all the customers i seen him interact with. He was rude and very mean mannered. It was so bad, we seen one party get up and leave before they could get sat down good. He jumped right in their face yelling at them for sitting down before he was done with what he was doing. Doug and one of the ladies in the party exchanged words and the ladies left. He ran to the back of the restaurant screaming at the manager along the way. He acted like a little girl that just got scorned by her mother. Needless to say we did not get any service after that, no one is his section got refills or orders taken while he gone. We spoke to the manager and that was like talking to a wall. She did not want to apologize for his behavior and did not want to tell anyone if got mad and left, she just defended his behavior and offered no apology. My wife and i will not be stopping at any waffle houses in Concord again. I actually think this location should be closed permanently like the location in east albemarle was for poor service...

Food was great but cook mainly took care of me not the server. I wanted to add an extra egg on to my order and instead of sitting and eating the last egg; when they asked if it's for here or to go I first said here and then I changed it to the go since I wanted to go ahead and hit the road. So when I got my bill I noticed that they charged an additional $2.85 when an extra egg is only $0.40 the server at the registers tried to explain that being that I had already eaten my food and added it they were charging me the additional $2.85 which I thought was crazy because I was still there and I had not cashed out my ticket so I tried to explain to her even though I finish eating my food could have eaten it there if I would have known it was going to be a big deal but instead I wanted to take it with me and she kept cutting me off every time I spoke and even when I would let her speak and replied she still kept cutting me off it really started to piss me off and needless to say I left with only paying my $0.40 extra and I left no tip. So if you eat all of your food and realize you still may have a bit of room left for more food and you want to order...

Hostile, I ordered my food, even paid a decent tip. I have a toddler and at least at the waffle Houses I have visited before they have always let me get my food to go and eat and leave on my own terms. Not this one, the host was so hostile for no reason. I didn't even want to eat my food. It seems like everytime I tip in general the service is worse. There was one waiter who was willing to let us eat there but no one wants to dine where the whole staff is glarring at you not worth risking somone spitting in your food or mishandling. Then there was another old guy who seemed to want to provoke the situation to be worse than it was by laughing the whole time. I don't see myself coming back here not the kind of people I want handling my food. Not everyone wants to use dine in plates and silverware either. I go out to to eat to enjoy the fruits of my labor not to be subjected to being treated like a grade school student. There are better Waffle houses around town. I'd avoid this location unless they know you on a first...
