Clayton Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Concord

Went here for breakfast. However, they DON'T serve breakfast anymore (another couple came in after us, but left because they wanted breakfast, too). We decided to stay, since we did not want to spend the extra time going somewhere else. I had the fried chicken sandwich with onion rings, she had the fish and chips. The chicken was thin and dry, and the rest of the sandwich was nothing special, but the onion rings were actually really good! As for the fish, it was nicely (not overly) battered and was a good firm fish. Unfortunately, the fries were dark brown and overcooked. We also had Bloody Marys, which were well made and tasty! Service was satisfactory, & staff was friendly. Tough call, not sure we will go here again. I guess you could consider this more of a bar that serves food, than a...

This is a good place to eat. I’ve been here a few times. The food is pretty good and so is the service. That being said, I went again today for a late lunch and when I got my bill I was surprised (well let’s just say I was annoyed) to see that the tip was added to the bill. This has never happened to me the other times I was there. I know restaurants typically add the tip to large parties, but there were only three of us. If my wife hadn’t noticed it, we might have tipped twice. Frankly, I don’t think any restaurant should include a tip on the bill. It’s my choice wether I want to tip or not, and I normally tip very well but this rubbed me the wrong way. Anyone else feel...

Everything was yummy. The pretzel is good n a decent portion size...it went fast!

Only reason to take a star off was because my friend ordered fish n chips but they didn't tell her they were out of tarter sauce until they brought out all the food (they took it off the bill so that was cool). And I was given the wrong hard seltzer (but I ended up liking it).

Update: was there on Cinco de Mayo. Place was busy. All tables filled. Food is still yummy. Husbear has fallen for the fettuccine Alfredo w shrimp. I have the mushroom burger n fries. Good quality meat in the burger. 2nd update: the Hawaiian burger is good but very messy. Now I swap the fries out for cheese...
