I see the previous review by especially the South Indians looking for cheap stuff and rating businesses down without looking at how difficult it is for small businesses these days. Meat is not cheap now especially free range, grass fed , after the pandemic and prices have rocketed so much that meat prices vary from one day to another .The prices at this shop reflect the market prices of decent meat suppliers . If you want cheap chicken not free range there is a plenty elsewhere but that is no reason to give this store owners a low rating . Friendly staff and clean/good meat! It was my first time getting meat on my own when I went to this shop, and the man behind the counter was really sweet about my confusion and even helped me out with what quantity I needed lol. I've seen some people commenting about cheap meat and bad attitudes, but I've been here so many times and have never had that issue! Their meat is good quality, and the man always asks me how my family is doing. Plus, easy parking and location are a huge bonus in the Bay Area! If I could give zero star to this store I would. We came here to buy lamb shanks and there was no price tag on the superior lamb brand. The owner charged us $14.99/lb and we ended up paying more than $35 for 2 lamb shanks. Even when paying we thought this was outrageous but decided not to say anything and left. The other day I saw the same brand in Nob hill for $6.99/Ib. So they charged us more than twice per lb for the same exact product.
