Aga Grill — Restaurant in Concord

Awkward from start to end. No one was out when we arrived, but we heard talking in the back so we waited for a bit. We finally knocked on the counter and a guy plus a teen kid walked out from the back room. The waiting wasn't a big deal, but it never got any less awkward from there.

Guy said he could take card for payment, but made some comment about "you can pay card but that goes to his account." Well, the only other 'him' we see in the restaurant is this teenager standing with him behind the counter who had to be 15 years old TOPS. So the teen manages the store card accounts??

Anyway, he said he would take card but then the guy made the transaction difficult until my friend gave up and paid cash. Wish he had just said he preferred cash then.

My other friend wanted to choose a sparkling water to go with his meal- but the cashier said "that one's mine." Okay. Weird to keep it with the other drinks in the fridge in customer view.

I work in healthcare, so I'm very conscious about germs. I ordered a falafel plate and noticed the worker handling the lettuce wrap with his bare hands. I asked him to wear gloves, which he did, but he continued to cross-contaminate the food by touching electronics and other non-food items, which is very unsanitary. Now that I have my food, I don't want to eat it because I'm worried about getting sick. Despite the store having passed inspections, the cleanliness of food preparation is crucial. Please be observant of how your food is handled, as it seems they are more focused on getting paid than ensuring proper hygiene. I wouldn’t recommend this place!! Oh and plus the falafel are burnt!!! Sorry bro, nice service and all. Food was edible, I did finish all of it.. but for $30 I was a little sad and still hungry. The falafel plate was 6 black balls (edible) a little lettuce cucumber tomato, hummus and pita . Very regular and not worth half the 30$ order I am sorry. Good Mediterranean places I am used to a least 10 balls for 10$, users were edible. The chicken wrap was tasty, I just would hope for more food, I usually won't go to small $15 burrito. I know there isn't much open at the hour so you must get by like this, wouldn't want to mention others doing same practice, but there are others at this hour with good portion per costs and...
