I go there every once in a while.. I worked at a Dunkin Donuts for a little over 3 years.. Yes, I have made mistakes while taking orders and then making that product wrong.. BUT! I never made a product and didn't give a damn if they were right.. If I l messed up an order then I would remake it.. Today I went through the drive thru to get my husband and I a coolata.. Him a large and myself a medium.. First off it took about 5 minutes for our order to come out and there was absolutely no one in the drive thru and from what I was seeing thru the window there was no one in the store.. We get our order finally and leave.. I notice that my coolata (oreo coffee) is really dark.. I take a sip and it was so bitter! Absolutely disgusting! My first thought was that there was no cream in it.. I go back inside to explain.. The Shift Leader was a girl names Jen.. I tell her that I think there is no cream in my coolata.. She looks at me like I have three heads. She tells me that there is no way there is no cream in it.. I then start to get angry.. First off you don't tell a customer that they are wrong.. Very unprofessional. I ask her to look at my drink and she continues to tell me that I am wrong.. She then says very rudely that she can remake it.. And makes sure that she says to the girl loud enough for me to hear.. Don't worry Sam (drive thru worker) I know you put cream in it.. I for one have a bad temper.. I was getting pretty upset.. I was more upset about the fact that ANYTIME I go there my order is always wrong! It doesn't fail! Ok, so she goes to make me a new one and when she goes to the coolata machine IT'S EMPTY! Now I finally figured out what happened.. Yes, Sam did put cream in it BUT she must have ran out of coolata mix and because she wasn't to the fill line (pink line on the top of the cup) she added in more coffee mix!! Seriously??? I then asked more my money back because by that time I was pissed! Now at the Dunkin Donuts that I worked at (The same owner as the one running the Kannapolis one) he would make up charge people for whip cream.. So I asked her if they did to please refund me that back.. She then says "If you really worked at a Dunkin Donuts then you would know we don't charge for that" I about flipped my lid! I had to leave..
Sorry for this being so long.. I will be contacting corporate about this issue.. No Shift Leader should be talking to a customer like that.. No employee should be talking to a customer like that..
With this being said I will not be going back to this Dunkin...
Read moreUpdate March 11, 2025- i got a small iced coffee and i normally get a medium. I walked in to get my coffee and the workers knew what i normally get so i told them the taste of the coffee i have been having a problem with and they all listened to me and made it better!
Update again- Starting March 2025- Their coffee has been nasty the handful times i have got one. I day the creamer or something tasted old. Another it tasted like it had cleaner in it, now my coffee taste like water. I like to go on thursdays because theres a girl that works there that i know makes my coffee perfectly every time. But something is different. Now i dont want to go anymore.
Another update October 16,2024- Ever since they remodeled. They have the best group of workers. I normally get a mobile order every morning. If i don't like my coffee, they kindly make it again. My favorite part is that they feel like my friends now because they call me by name when they see me.
Update as of May 22.2024- they have had excellent service and short drive-thru line ever since. Coffees are somtimes good. Drive thru always takes forever! Food is too expensive for the type of food and amount you get. Today March 11th 2024. They had the inside closed and the togo window. No sign. Had a lot of angry people outside the building. I had to sit in the drive thru for about 30 minutes then they started letting online orders to come inside for their drink. I then was told they dont have the flavor i wanted to i got hazelnut and it was disgusting. Thanks dunkin for a terrible...

Instead, go to QT down the road where there are better prices, service, AND you'll get exactly what you intend to eat. (No, I don't work for QT.) If I could give this Dunkin Donuts location -10 stars, I would. Don't get me wrong - I love Dunkin Donuts, but I HATE the service at this establishment. I've been up and down the East coast, and this location is by far the WORST I've experienced. I never get what I order, their staff has the personality of a wet blanket, and frankly I'm tired of paying for food that isn't what I ordered. Cut the excuses Dunkin - you need to retrain your entire staff. If there's NO ONE in line at your drive thu, with 0 wait time, it shouldn't be THIS HARD to get one simple order right. Don't even try calling - they never answer their phone. If you've had a Dunkin experience like mine, I ask you - no, I implore you - rise up!
