Five Guys at Speedway in Concord is a nice spot to grab a bite every now and then. The atmosphere is clean and casual, and what really makes this location shine is the outstanding staff. Theyāre friendly, attentive, and always provide excellent customer service, which goes a long way in making the experience enjoyable.
The food itself is solid, but not exceptional across the board. My wife enjoys the burgers, but I wish Five Guys offered a plain bun option instead of only sesame seed buns. Since I donāt eat sesame seeds, I usually find myself ordering a hotdog. The hotdogs are okay, but not the best Iāve had.
Where they absolutely shine is with the friesāsome of the best I have ever eaten. Crispy, fresh, and perfectly seasoned, theyāre worth the trip all on their own.
My other suggestion would be for Five Guys to introduce a rewards program, like many other fast-food and quick-service restaurants already offer. That would keep regulars coming back even more.
Overall, Five Guys Speedway earns 3 stars from me. With a few changesāplain bun options and a rewards programāit could easily be a 5-star experience.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe don't usually have any issues at Five Guys. I really want everyone to know that except for the night we went last week it's always been great foo and service. This is the reason why I have added 3 stars.
I just hope that Five Guys can chat with their personnelle for this one instance last week Wednesday night.
My husband insisted on going there for supper. I wanted to go but thought there would be nothing I could order as I follow my health food program. When we arrived, my husband ordered his food, then I ordered a BLT sandwich that would be the one and only item I could order to follow my program in the closest way possible. I asked the guy at the front what would be on it, and then I asked that they don't include mayo. He then said, you now there's alot of bacon on this. No problem! When the food was ready and we were excited to eat, i opened my sandwich wrap, removed the bun and began by eating the tomatoes and lettuce after removing the bun. But, when I went to pick up a piece of bacon, I thought how odd it was that the bacon was cold. I placed my hand over the small mound of bacon and the whole amount of it was freezing cold. It ruined my appetite.
This is a one-off issue for us. We don't normally have any issues here. I just hope someone from Five Guys will read this for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo, the food here is actually pretty excellent. The burgers are delicious and they have quite an assortment of toppings to choose from. They're not stingy with the fries either. One order will just about feed my entire family of 6. Not to mention they're yummy! Where I had to take off a couple of stars were on pricing and kids options (of which there are NONE).
The prices are pretty steep. You're paying $7-8 for just a single Patty burger. That doesn't include fries or a drink. Also, considering there are no kids options, we had to pay $7 for a "little cheeseburger" for our 3 year old. We ended up paying over $60 for me, my wife and our 4 kids all under the age of 10 (no desserts or extras).
I suppose Five Guys should be given credit for their clever marketing. They lure you in under the premise that you're going in for some fast food but you end up spending as much as going out to a nice restaurant. If you're looking for a burger joint to grab a quick, fairly inexpensive bite for the family, you may want to look elsewhere. You can easily get Mc Donald's for about literally...
