The food is good, I highly recommend trying their Caesar salad with grilled chicken.
The main issue I’d like to address is when I just called (3:39pm on Friday, August 8th 2025) about an incorrect order I received, a restaurant representative lied directly to my face. The one thing I CANNOT stand is a liar. I was polite (I also work in hospitality/customer service) and I was not even requesting a refund of any amount or a remake. I only called to ask them to PLEASE double check their orders before sending them out for DoorDash as this is far from the first order with a mistake that I’ve received. It’s usually something small and I try to be very understanding (we’re all human, mistakes happen) but I am starting to become frustrated with the apparent careless attitude being given to DoorDash orders. I paid extra for (2) XL dressings, and I selected Ranch because I’m not fond of Caesar dressing. Not only were the extra dressings I received the smaller, cheaper sized ones, but they were also Caesar dressing. When I called to request that they please take more care in double checking the orders, I was told that they cannot see what flavor the extra dressings are for. I’ve ordered delivery from here well over a dozen times for my family, nearly always including the Caesar salad with grilled chicken. I ALWAYS order the extra ranch dressings. Either every staff member prior has been a mind reader and knew I wanted ranch, or the employee I spoke to lied directly to me. My receipt also shows that I selected Ranch as my extra dressings. The same receipt that y’all had to attach to the bag. Please, tell me again how you guys can’t see what’s selected. There was nothing at stake here, no money, no refund, no product, nothing. There was NO reason to lie to me. All that had to be done (and what I would’ve done as a hospitality rep) was say that you’ll be more careful next time, and thanks for bringing it to your attention. Lying was entirely unnecessary and left me with a very poor impression of the restaurant and staff.
Another bit of feedback is although the food is good, I have had several instances of incorrect orders and sudden, unannounced ingredient changes that could be important for those with food allergies.
For reference, the fettuccine Alfredo that I’ve ordered numerous times once came with tomatoes, some sort of cheese (ricotta I believe?) as well as parsley and a few other random toppings. I had ordered it literally the day prior as well and it had none of those ingredients on it. Randomly adding ingredients not included in the description of the dish is not okay for those with food...
Read moreDepending on the measure, my overall rating is a mixed bag ranging from 4.5 stars to none. The sum adds up to a 2 star experience. I'll start with the 4.5 stars... the taste of the pizza itself. Now for the Christmas train wreck. I ordered online early in the afternoon so that I could walk right in a 5:40PM to pick up my order. (At least a 4 hour window.) Arrived at 5:35. Told it would be a 5 to 10 minute wait. A little over a half hour later (and multiple other takeout customers coming and going out with their respective orders), I got my order... but that's not remotely the bad part. I ordered a Sicilian (pan) pizza with 4 toppings along with 2 GF pizzas and a personal 10" pizza. About 15 to 20 minutes into my wait, I was informed that they were "out of the stuff needed to make the Sicilian." Now I ask myself, "Hmm. Are they out of rectangular pans?" If one has the pizza dough to make a round pizza, why not just mold the dough to a rectangular pan? After I had to repeatedly ask for updates on my order it finally came out. They gave me a free 18" round pizza that would be exactly as the Sicilian in respect to the toppings I asked for. They also credited my Amex card back $30 for the Sicilian. I'm very grateful for that! I got home and opened my replacement (free) pizza. One of my favorite toppings I had ordered... absent. The good news is, I believe in 2nd (and sometimes more) chances. Maybe I was the "one-off" for the day. But just in case what I experienced becomes a trend, I felt it would be important to let the paying public of my fellow Concordians know. But on a final note, don't NOT give theme the business based on my review! I believe in small businesses like Isabela's and I wouldn't dare seek to hurt anyone involved. I make more mistakes in 10 minutes than the fine people of Isabela's combined for a whole day! Give them a chance, but just be aware of a possible trend... that Isabela's can easily fix! I have confidence in their...
Read moreAfter moving to NC from the North East - finding great pizza has been a search and a struggle... until today. Isabela's nailed the NY pizza so perfectly that eating it brought us nostalgia with every bite.
Upon entering to pickup our order, the inside was packed with people eating at this place. Loved the New York art work around the place too. Only one girl running the register, and all the tables. She greeted me as soon as I walked in, brought out 2 takeout orders at once and still waited on the other tables. She's awesome !
Pictured is their Fried Ravioli, Buffalo Wings (7) and an 18" Buffalo Chicken Pizza.
The fried ravioli was perfectly fried, filled and when dipped in their marinara sauce was a great appetizer.
The Buffalo Wings were BIG - for whatever reason restaurants think its OK to charge over a $1 a wing and the wings come smaller than your fingers. These wings were meaty, packed with flavor and spice.
The Buffalo Chicken Pizza was the star. At $23 it was worth it. The size of the slices screamed New York. From the dough to the cheese, the taste and smell of this pizza was of home. The dough had some charring in some spots which yielding a "bigger" bite but I enjoyed that this was not a mushy pizza like most places around Concord. The buffalo chicken was fresh, light spice and the cheese was great. No dripping of grease or left over grease on the plate was also a nice surprise.
Isabela's Pizza NAILED the NY Style and we couldn't be anymore thrilled that we found...
