Update. . .Shout out to the staff memeber that had the gm call me after i made it clear i did not want to speak to them because i know for a fact it was managment acting this way. Absolutely appualing . Last night I watched this restaurant discriminate against a Hispanic/ Latin familes party the first words out of their mouth (manager i think older yt woman )was they gave the original table away then are you sure your whole party is coming they confirmed again they would but the manager tried to push them to wait for more people one guest was pregnant and they almost had to beg to be seated as more guests showed up another Manager (also an older yt women) acted like they didn't know what party was being talked about and had to "check" even though she was just made aware of the party i watched and heard all of this. . . I also saw them being extremely passive aggressive to the young ladies working in the front. My food was gross had no flavor and most of the staff waiting was white while runners are bipoc and doing grunt work never in my life in a mostly Hispanic and Latin/ bipoc area did I think I would see this behavior. Never in my life have I seen this at one of the spaghetti factorys locations but it was awful I won't be back it's giving discrimination and extremely toxic work environment I hope both mangers / older women working last night get called out by corporate they have no business running this location I can only hope those young ladies and other young people employed there are safe or rally together and report this to the state its 2023 we are not tolerating racism especially when the food is gross...
Read moreThe Old Spaghetti Factory. Here is a place to go whenever the need for comfort food pops up. And, who can resist a great Italian fare whether you're looking for a romantic night out or need a break from the kitchen.
They started filling the tummies of individuals to very large groups fifty years ago (opening the 1st location in 1969). We made it out to their anniversary celebrations and got a nice table in a quiet corner.
For 5 bucks we had the choice of a 3 course meal that included spaghetti topped with either Marinara, Mushroom, Clam, or Meat Sauce. However, we both went for the 6 dollar meal and got the 'Manager's Favorite' which came with our choice of any two of those mouthwatering sauces. And, for that extra 100 pennies Mizithra Cheese & Browned Butter could be had.
Hint: For something different and super delicious try the House Dressing on your salad. And, ask for a little dish of that dressing to dip your bread in! 🤗
For the undecided their 'Pot Pourri' is a great choice. It's still a 3 course meal but you get a plate with a sampling of each of the sauces. This too is a 6 dollar meal.
We boxed our leftovers and concluded with a desert of Spumoni ice cream while taking in the eclectic collection of antiques that surround the Street Car. A major feature centered in the room with seating inside.
You need to stop in and give the Factory a try. Decent prices and great food will have you adding this restaurant to your Favourites List.
Please note: The prices above were for the 50 year anniversary celebrations. You're going to normally pay a bit more. I'd say it's a $$ - $$$ restaurant, but oh my God is...
Read moreWent here for dinner last night and it was very disappointing. We were seated fast but took a minute to get greated then we gave our drink order and it took a very long time to come out. A table next to us were seated after us but still have their drinks and soup and bread long before we did. When we told our server it felt like she had a bit of an attitude and said she had a big table she was taking care of. And just felt like she was being argumentative. I guess she didn't like us because another waitress said she would be taking over. But again waiting, we received one cup of coffee but no offer for a refill, pasta came out lukewarm at best. Then we were finished and stacked our dirty plates on the table and we waited some more. Just felt like we were waiting for every thing. There were 3 bussboys within a foot of us talking about everything except work. They could have prebussed or taken the large pile of dishes out of our faces. I saw the male manager walking around a lot but unfortunately that was all he was doing. We had to ask to get the ice cream and check and then ask for spoons for the ice cream. We were there almost 1.5 hours and could not get out of there fast enough. It was so much waiting and the service was disappointing. I understand things happen, I have been in the hospitality industry for 13 years as a server, chef and a restaurant manager so I get things happen but my meal was $70 and it was not worth that. It's unfortunate because this please used to be great but I will be taking my money somewhere else where I know I will have a...
