Waffle House — Restaurant in Conroe

This is the absolute worse experience at any waffle house I've ever visited. First let me just say that the establishment was a lil busy. However, that was to be expected since its morning and spring break. The workers here were very rude. We were not greeted, and were not helped or acknowledged at all. There were several people sitting on the wall waiting for to go orders. I came in with a group of four other people and two more couples came in after us and still noone was acknowledged. I had to reach over someone sitting to even get a menu. I waited at the register for about 10 minutes waiting for someone to assist me to no avail. One of the workers yells across the room that she could help who was next. I spoke up and said we were trying to make a to-go order. The worker looked confused and the proceeded to say "can I help someone else? Is there anyone eating here?" Then the rest of the workers proceeded to say "I don't know what's going on are we even taking to-go orders? What are we doing?" Then someone else says "no we're not taking any to go orders. We're short staffed and we're too busy" this whole time they are speaking to themselves and not us. Then one of them finally looks at me and says, "oh yeah sorry we're not taking any to go orders we're short staffed" like tf. Instead of having us stand there and look crazy you could've made that announcement from jump instead of having us stand there looking crazy for 15 minutes. Communication is key when it comes to customer service. Maybe it's because we were the only melanated people in the building im not sure but it almost felt that way since all the people sitting were non melanated and they were for sure waiting for...

Love me some Waffle House! Good, 'ol fashioned, southern style meals, any time of day. The service is great too! Even when they're busy, you don't have to wait long. Keep up the good work, Waffle House! 🧇

Update: After a long day yesterday, I wasn't looking forward to making supper when I got home, so I stopped by for a bite. I had the All-Star breakfast 😋, because you can't go wrong with that. My eggs 🥚 were cooked 🍳 to order perfectly, and grits were southern style (and not lumpy). Now, you have a choice here, hash browns or grits, but i always go with grits because Waffle House is the only place I've found that knows how to make them right, and they're so good! However, should you decide to get the hashbrowns, rest assured, they will be equally as wonderful, and there are a ton of options to add to them. 😋 This meal came with a choice of meats as well....bacon or sausage. Once again, this was a default choice for me because they have the best patty breakfast sausage money can buy. So good! Then to top it off, you get....you guessed it, a 🧇! Pro tip: order your waffle with pecans in it! You can thank me later. 😌 I washed it all down with a fresh cup of coffee ☕️ and tipped both my server and the cook, who both did a fabulous job. 👌 Keep up the good work 👏 ya'll. I'd give you six stars...

Sat at the bar next to a gentleman who had yet to order. Young Red head girl steps up to the bar takes his entire order and says absolutely nothing to me. I sit there for 10 minutes and finally I am approached by this young lady who takes my order. Then I sit waiting on my food and drink for approximately another 10+ mins or so. Then part of my food is placed in front of me then my sausage is placed in front of me. At this point still no drink nor waffle. A customer takes the seat right next to me as the gentleman who I mentioned is finishing up his meal. The customer next to me orders received her drink promptly and I sit still waiting for all my food and my much needed drink. The manager stands directly in front of me says nothing. Still haven't touched my food and finally I get my waffle one side paper thin and the other not very much bigger and she finally asks me can I get you anything else. Um yeah my drink. Never said another word to me no refills offered on my drink. Worst waffle House I've ever been to. I usually tip 50-100% when I come here. Red got 0.00 today and I don't do that but damn I didn't want anything else but to get out the door. So bad I thought about walking away leaving my food untouched. Never...
