While doing an Instacart order at this store, I tried to get some help finding a few products. A bald employee initially tried to help, but as soon as he realized I was an Instacart shopper, his attitude completely changed. He gave me a bad look, told me to find everything myself, and said he doesn’t work for me. I have to ask — who exactly do they work for if not for the customer who is making a purchase in the store?
I understand that employees don’t get paid by Instacart, but Instacart is the one purchasing from this business — the same business that pays their salaries. I’m just trying to do my job like anyone else and don’t deserve to be treated with disrespect.
The manager’s excuse was that many Instacart shoppers expect employees to gather all their items for them, and that’s why they no longer want to help since they “don’t get paid for it.” But that logic makes no sense. If I go to a restaurant, do I have to pay the cook, the dishwasher, the cleaning staff, and the manager separately for “helping me,” even though I’m already paying for my meal and leaving a tip?

It’s fairly new so the layout takes time getting use to but the staff here, at this location vs the others around here, are exceptional more helpful and pleasant to approach. They are more friendly and you can often find help. The other one in town lost my business a couple years ago. They were the only one in town. Not so much on the friendly side, you get one person here and there but not much and I been shopping there for over 10 years!). Having friendly and outgoing customers makes you want to go shop and return. You can have the best deals but if I have to shop in a hostel environment or no personality, I take my business elsewhere. Read moreI would give NO STARS if I could figure out how to do it. Impossible to shop here. NO PERSON HERE knows anything about the store or stock. When asked if they would look it up on their inventory the person tried but said the reception was so bad in the store she could not do that. I asked one employee to check with another employee on her “radio” that she was wearing in her ear. She contacted someone but they NEVER answered her back. DO, I called the store and told them what I wanted to find and couldn’t she tell me which isle or location to go to.
