River Oaks Endoscopy — Local services in Conroe

River Oaks Endoscopy has had a renovation since my last visit in 2021 and it’s fabulous. The waiting room is very spacious and of course there is free WiFi for all customers. The staff is excellent, everyone is very friendly and professional. The very best interactions are always with the medical team once you are taken back for your procedure. Each person you encounter introduces themselves by their name and profession. They do everything they can to make sure that you are comfortable and they address any questions or concerns that you may have. They are always aware of the most minute things, and they take care of your every need. The area can be a little cold for the patient and no less than 4 staff members offered me a warm blanket and I accepted all four of the blankets. I have had my procedures done at River Oaks Endoscopy before and although I have the choice to have my physician use a different facility that has never been an option for me. At River Oaks Endoscopy is am cared for by an elite team of specialists who could work in any hospital or medical facility but they choose to work there. I meet with the nurses, the assistant to the anesthesiologist and the anesthesiologist and of course I am introduced to every medical professional in the surgical suite where my procedures take place. They are all top notch and they have worked in their respective fields for years but the best complement that I can offer is that they all make me feel cared for as if I was one of their own family members. After my procedures are complete they offer snacks, I’m encouraged to take my time to prepare to go home and of course I speak with the anesthesiologist and my physician about my health and how I did during the procedure along with my caregiver. I’m given explicit instructions about after care at home and I’m taken down by a staff member in a wheelchair. Doctor Clark enters room barely says hello, proceeds to say “what are you here for? “ I'm am in total shock. I hand him the copy of my CT results that I’d uploaded well before my appointment. (I say to myself, maybe this is his bedside manner). I literally had to ask him what his concerns were regarding the abnormal CT scan. The answer the doctor gave me still befuddled me and I’m thinking, it’s just his bedside manner. I get to the appointment. The doctor neither comes in says good morning, let’s do this , nothing!!!! I’m wheeled into the room. He kept his back to me. Next thing you know I was sleep. I wake up in the recovery room, drowsy and he said he removed two polyps and everything else was fine basically that’s all the conversation I got, and he left the room. I will never come back! My portion was $200 out-of-pocket and I got no words from the doctor except for your OK, you need to come back in another five years. He never discussed the findings versus the CT scan.We were just done when it was over. I will never ever come back to see this doctor again ever. This was the coldest experience I’ve ever had with a doctor needless to say it contained little to no information regarding my health at all, except come back in 5 years. Nope...

My PCP Dr. Pinnapureddy at Family Health Clinic referred me to Dr. Chatha for GI care and I am glad, because as a patient we are already stressing and feeling ill, yet Dr. Chatha and his staff in the back were the nicest and empathetic people; to include the anesthesiologist. During my procedure the nurses were thorough about explaining the events taking place and very calming. Thank you and I wish I could remember names, but I’m sure my chart with date and time can tell who assisted in my care.

I will say to the front desk personnel, you are the first face patients see. I know that I was the last patient, but you seemed less welcoming and ready to leave; I get it you were tired, but I’m glad the ladies in the back made up for your lack. Please do better.
