BLT Grill — Restaurant in Gaithersburg

My girlfriend and I moved to Gaithersburg, MD from Germany back in 2022 (I’m originally from North Carolina though). One of my favorite pastimes is going out to eat and breakfast is probably my favorite meal to do this. Shortly after arriving here, it was only natural to scout out some tasty breakfast eateries. Thankfully, it didn’t take very long because BLT Grill is not far from where we live, and let me tell you, they do not disappoint. When you walk into their restaurant, you’re greeted by some funny wall art and a simple, but clean place where you seat yourself. Prices are very fair, and you get a ridiculous amount of portions to reflect the price. Trust me when I say that they have the best french toast I’ve ever eaten. I think I’ve ordered it at least 20 times and it is always great. Their scrambled eggs are also worth mentioning as I don’t think I’ve ever eaten such fluffy eggs at a restaurant before. I’ve also had other dishes and they were on point as well. If you are looking for a fast, delicious, and friendly place to eat breakfast or lunch, do yourself a favor and visit BLT Grill. The staff there are hilarious, and make you feel like you’re at home (just make sure to clean up after yourselves or you’ll be on the naughty list!).

My first and last time at this place only because I'm huge on how customers are treated! I placed an order and was called by the male asian to come up and pick up my order. Although I ordered a meat platter w home fries he mentioned he also gave me an order of hash browns as well. I left the restaurant, made a couple stops before making it home. Went to warm my breakfast and I had pancakes along w other stuff I didn't order. Went all the back to BLT Grill and the female Asian noticed me and said that the male asked if I ordered pancakes and I apparently said Yes, basically trying to blame THEIR error on ME. Obviously she was thinking of another customer because that never happened. She then attempted to give me an order that was sitting on the bottom of a shelf and not refrigerated. I asked for a fresh order because it had been a while since I was last there. I sat to wait for my order but decided to just get a refund. First you lied to and about me and said I said something I didn't say, when I called you out on it then you admit you never even hear the conversation! You also attempt to give me food that had been sitting on a shelf for who knows how...

I wrote a review before I ate my food, but it was so good that I have to make it more in depth now. This place is definitely a hole in the wall diner, but don’t let that deter you from coming here. It’s a nice private place, with a lot of personality. Enough seating for probably 50 people in the store? Idk maybe less. Not a huge place but it’s never crazy busy on weekdays.

The food is EXCELLENT. My friend got the country fried steak and eggs and I usually don’t like that but I enjoyed stealing off her plate thoroughly. Their hash browns are great, and they listen to instructions. We wanted them crispy and we definitely got them crispy. The eggs were fluffy and a nice bright yellow. Biscuits were buttery and delicious. Country fried steak was great- nice crisp on the outside and the gravy was really good.

There’s refills on drinks and coffee, and plenty of sauces.

Best of all- THE PRICE!! Cheaper than iHop!!! Our country fried steak, which came with 2 eggs (looked more like 3 to be honest) Hash browns, and a biscuit, was $9!!!!!! Insane. Portions are HUGE for what you pay for. Great diner, will always come here from now on after a night out and need a...
