After driving around the block to find parking, I lucked out on a spot 15 feet from the front door. The parking lot was packed and it wasn't even 6 PM. A busy restaurant in the beginnings of dinner service, is always a good sign. As soon as I opened the door and entered, I was greeted by the wonderful aroma of Italian food. My hunger was ignited. Our server was Amanda and she was attentive and professional. A bonus these days is when the server prebusses the table, even when they are busy, and Amanda did just that. Please request her when you decide to visit. Yhw hostess and all the waitstaff were friendly and nicely dressed. The ambiance was relaxing and not intimidating. The patio seating looked comfortable as well, but it was way too hot to sit outside. It also proved to be a good choice to sit inside because a torrential rainstorm ensued near the end our our dinner. If you arrive before 6:00 PM, bottles of wine are 25% off. That might be why they were out of several of them. I'm not sure if that's a special every day or just on Tuesdays. We settled on a nice Pinot Noir from Willamette Valley, Oregon and it did not disappoint. My dinner companion and I chose the Tuesday special. It's a choice of chicken parmesan or picatta, with either a caesar salad or green salad, and focaccia bread for $18. We both chose the chicken parmesan and I had the caesar salad while my companion had the green salad. They serve the dressing on the side, which is nice because a lot of restaurants either over or under do it. The chicken parmesan comes with spaghetti, but our request for angel hair was easily accommodated. The chicken was perfectly cooked as well as the pasta, which came out piping hot and had the right amount of sauce. I did feel that it lacked a bit of seasoning though. I just added extra parmesan, which was already on the table so I could add at my leisure. We finished the experience with a shared serving of Tiramisu that absolutely melted in my mouth. It was garnished with a sweet slice of strawberry on top of whip cream. The only thing not necessary on top, was the mini semi sweet chips. I felt it took away from the dessert, which was amazing on its own. All in all, a very enjoyable experience. I'll definitely...
Read moreI've been 3 times there. Every time a couple issus had arisen. The latest visit, the waitresses suggested a red wine out of 3 on special without been able to described it, and never tasted. For our surprise, we requested the glasses to be charged due to an odor similar to an dishwasher sponch mold odor eventhough the glasses looked clear and clean to the eye. We noth got pasta. The size of the pasta looked bigger compared with previos experiences. Howover, both disches were missing tomato 🍅 sauce and the pasta over cooked. My friend expected her pasta to be "al dente" by default when it is not requested. I don't know if ot is a default pasta cooking in an Italian food restaurant. In Florida. We had to requested twice tomato sauce to improve the blandness of the dishes. It called my attention because we both have different experiences and development expectations of Italian popular dishes. In the oder hand, the waitresses and staff werr very quick at addressing our inquiries and need. As previous costumer, I sugest the restaurant to return a previous approach to the pasta dishes it depicted my previos two visots which is better quality of every dish as opposed to a bigger portion with blandness taste, color. and too soft pasta texture. It is possible that the restaurant is too busy, quality mau change. If it was the case, o hope it would notice, adjust, and correct, for next time. Because O definitely coming back. Although, i will try to return in a less busy time. I want the restaurant keep the food quality of my initial experiences or betterment them as oppose to a bland flavor, over cooked, and bigger portions...
Read moreThe place is beautiful inside and out and our server was really nice. The patio is nice but they have very little to keep it cool when it's hot out. It's a little difficult to find parking, and I went on a Tuesday night. Like other reviews, I would say the music is a bit loud. I felt like I had to yell at the people I was eating with. Had a few drinks and they were good. I tried their mango habanero beer and enjoyed it. We tried a few appetizers: garlic bread (basic), Brussels sprouts (bland), and stuffed mushrooms(actually pretty good). Ordered a kid's spaghetti and meatballs and a queen bee pizza. The pizza came out a lot quicker than the other food. Two people from our party arrived late and their food came out the same, but backwards...the one entree came quickly and the pizza took a while. The waitress explained that the kitchens were separate and were not that great at timing. I guess for a better experience you should stick to everyone ordering from one kitchen. The sauce wasn't much to speak about. It wasn't seasoned nor was there tomatoes in it like you'd expect from a real Italian scratch kitchen. The meatball wasn't anything special. The sauce and toppings were very good on the pizza but the dough lacked flavor. The rest of the people we ate with all said the same, food was meh. Very straight out the box. Cool place with great service, but I wouldn't go for the food. I'd say this place is maybe a 3.5 but since google doesn't do half stars, I had to take a hard look on if I leaned more one way or the other, but food was really below my expectations...
