The 4 stars given for customer service are ONLY for the person who placed my order. Anyone else who I had to come in contact with would get 1 star simply for having the guts to show up in this dreadful place called work. The greeter was uninterested in offering a friendly greeting, to say the least. It's too dim in their for lunch time. Initially, we were going to dine in. We were seated next to a table that had patrons already eating; there were 2 adults & 3 children. It was obvious that 1 child (approximately 3 y.o.) was sick. In the 2 minutes we were back there, the little boy coughed a very deep, rattling cough about 8 times, plus grabbed his chest each time. His pale skin is now red. We're in the midst of flu season with high RSV rates amongst his age group and covid still lurking; lil fella needed to not be in a restaurant. The last cough forced him to regurgitate at his high chair, but everyone, including the 2 adults with him and the server, acted like nothing happened. At this point, I decide it's best to carry out. We go to the front to order. I did ask if we get soup and salad for carryout and was told yes. Once the order was placed and paid for, I was informed that was misinformation. I did check for the accuracy of our food before leaving; it appeared correct. What I didn't expect was to have long light blonde hair in my food when I was ready to eat at home. I am a baldie, my husband wears his head shaved; we can not even pretend that this is our hair... lol. I called Kobe's to inform them that I would be bringing back the food the next day as I live totally on the other side of town, it's now rush hour, I'm relaxed in my home, I have a receipt there shouldn't be a problem. Right? Wrong! I was very rudely instructed not to bring in the food, there will be no refund AND that no one in the kitchen had hair today... the person who would only identify themself as the manager, then hung up. WOW & LOL!!! Okay, well I do not follow stupid instructions. The food will be returned, I will be calling my bank to dispute the charges because my receipt does not show "no refunds." Also, I am a certified food service manager who is aware of our states food service requirements, therefore, I will be initiating an investigation with our local health department and reporting the establishment to Servsafe for verification of current credentials. They better hope their certifications are in place. If not, they will be shut down until they are. What you will not do at Kobe's is make more than one error (no soup/salad, but add the hair), talk disrespectful to me, AND STILL take my money. Ohhh, the food and the hair WILL BE RETURNED tomorrow, I WILL get my refund from my bank, as it's already being processed AND you will learn today NOT to play with those who did not come to play with you! Take strongly to my advice... stay ready. This Baltimore County Health Dept employee plus Servsafe manager certified small food business owner will make you wish you were professional. Your customer service is horrible, your food is contaminated, yet you want to be rude....

Let's begin with the heart of any hibachi experience: the food. It's rare to encounter a restaurant where every element of a dish resonates with such profound flavor, but they effortlessly achieved this. The noodles, a staple of hibachi cuisine, were far from ordinary. They were infused with a rich, savory depth that hinted at expertly balanced seasonings and a masterful understanding of umami. Similarly, the rice, often an afterthought, was a revelation ā fluffy, flavorful, and perfectly complementing the other ingredients.
The meat, the centerpiece of the meal, was nothing short of sublime. Tender, fresh, and cooked to absolute perfection, each bite melted in my mouth. The quality of the ingredients was evident, and the chef's skill in handling them was undeniable. It was clear that they prioritize sourcing top-tier ingredients, a commitment that shone through in every morsel.
Beyond the exceptional food, the performance was a delight. The chef, a true showman, possessed a natural charisma that captivated the entire table. Their deft handling of the knives, the playful banter, and the impressive culinary tricks created an atmosphere of excitement and engagement. This wasn't just a meal; it was an interactive experience that left everyone smiling.
Adding to the overall positive impression was the friendly and charismatic chef. They interacted with each guest, making everyone feel welcome and ensuring a personalized experience. The genuine warmth and enthusiasm they exuded enhanced the enjoyment of the entire evening.
Furthermore, the lack of a wait time for a grill was a significant advantage. In a world where dining out often involves lengthy delays, they offered a seamless and efficient experience. We were seated promptly and the show began without delay, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the moment.
Finally, the drinks were a testament to the restaurant's commitment to quality. Powerful, delicious, and expertly crafted, they provided the perfect accompaniment to the flavorful meal.
In conclusion, Kobe's transcends the typical hibachi experience. It's a culinary destination where exceptional food, captivating entertainment, and genuine hospitality converge. From the flavorful noodles and rice to the tender meat and the charismatic chef, every aspect of the meal was executed with precision and passion. This is a restaurant I will undoubtedly return to, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a truly memorable dining experience. A...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOn 02/16/2024, I was taken to this location by my girlfriend for my 44th birthday as we enjoyed ourselves the last time. Since it was first time going I wanted to return again for my birthday since I enjoyed it so much. However when we got there it was PACKED to the brim and there was a 45+min wait to be seated, so we opted for take out instead. We placed our order with the hostess and she was kind enough to repeat it back to me to ensure that it was correct. We ordered the: Filet mignon and scallops with extra filet (medium rare) 2 Kobe steak maki A shogun roll A spicy dynamite roll
But, when we received our food, it wasn't what we ordered. Everything was correct, but there was shrimp also in the meal and we're both allergic. So, needless to say, we had to skip dinner. The restaurant is 40+ mins away, so driving back and making it before they close wasn't an option. So we called and we're told to bring in the meals and they'll be made correct and fresh.
So, the next day (02/17/2024) we made the almost hour drive back to the location for our replacement. We explained the situation to the opening crew as none of them were on shift the night before. The examined the other order and got started on our replacement. With a smile it was bagged we were on our way for a return drive of an hour back home to finally enjoy our meal.
Or so we thought....
When we got home and opened our containers only to find the filet mignon that we paid extra for was NOT what we were given. Anyone who has been to Kobe knows there steak and there's the filet mignon for an upcharge. Again, what we paid for is NOT what we were given. So, I called AGAIN to express my dismay and honest displeasure at the fact that my birthday dinner was made erroneously, only to be told that "I watched them cut it and it's filet, it's just cut small". I tried to explain to him (the manager on duty) that what's in my container isn't what was paid for. I was then told to bring the meal A SECOND TIME to have things made right. š®āšØ So, I was requested to drive back an hour AGAIN, to wait for her ANOTHER order, then drive an hour back AGAIN for ...š¤·š¾āāļø. There was no compromise, no we will comp a meal, take my name for a future visit....nothing. Needless to say I will not be returning to not only location but more than likely the chain as a whole as this is the closest location to me. As much as I enjoyed my first visit, this absolutely ruined my birthday experience and soured by view of the restaurant in whole. I will not...
