Good Boba out of the 4 times I visted year round. Customer services is relatively fast despite the lines. However, they are very passive aggressive with wrong orders/any mistakes and will repeatedly cut you off when you explain what happened.

I have hearing issues and tend to be very non-confrontational. I went to the boba place Saturday and after repeating my order twice to the cashier of what I wanted to order, i had a delicous drink but it was missing a topping that I had ordered, and I realize that I have to take some of the blame. I came back to get the issue fixed and was ready to pay for it as I had been on an outing with my sister. I was repeatedly cut off and ignored, and had a voice raised at me in front of other customers as I tried to explain the story from my side. I was told that I had to pay for it harshly despite trying to tell them that was what I wanted to do in the first place. I ended up bawling on my way back to the car after what had happened.

Despite this, the boba + tea is very good with a wide array of options. I would recommend the Thai Coffee, Pudding or Taro smoothie for those interested. However it might just be better to order from the app, on a day without any lines or maybe just make sure you are very vocal with what you would like so you do not get the same treatment. This was my very first time being treated like this here and I understand that tensions are high due to covid, even then I would still recommend the place to others because of the good drinks and good prices.

I’ll start this review by saying that this tea shop was my very first experience with bubble tea and since they’ve opened I’ve never found any other tea shop that can compare! I recently (regretfully) went to another local competitor and after trying their taro tea I only realized how spoiled Chatime makes me! The taro at Chatime is so flavorful and fresh that it absolutely put the other store to shame! The bubbles at Chatime are always made fresh every single day (even through out the day if it’s busy) and every single tea they make is shook by hand and completely made from scratch. The staff is always so welcoming and friendly and always so open to new customers that it makes being a regular worthwhile and something to look forward to! Every. Single. Time! As for drink diversity they have it all!! They have milk tea, smoothies, slushes, moose, juice and now they even have this amazing food called Bao! ( these are just what I can think of from the top of my head.) It’s almost as if they plucked a cloud from the sky and filled it with deliciousness!! They also have a large variety of toppings!! (My favorite being cookie crumbles, mango bursting jelly and of course the pearls!) Did I also mention that if you are lactose intolerant you can still drink the milk teas?! But truly in all the time that Chatime has been on the avenue I feel that they’ve somehow managed to improve perfection and I look forward to all future visits!! I have went to this place many times and have had no problems when they have what I want. About the past 5 times that my husband and I have come here, they have ran out of bubbles/pearls. Of course, you go to a business and expect that they have the product that they are known to sell. We walked out every time they did not have the bubbles ready because who would want to wait 20-30 minutes for just a drink. We did not complain or write a nasty review because of that. The reason why I am writing a bad review is because tonight, yet again, they ran out of bubbles. I was somewhat understanding because it was the end of the night and the store would be closing soon. I expressed my feelings to the Asian woman taking the orders. I simply asked her that the past couple times that I or my husband have come here that they have ran out of bubbles/pearls (most of the time during the day). She immediately got defensive and started talking to me in a loud and demeaning tone. She said that there would be no way that they run out of pearls during the day...she said there would just be a wait of maybe up to 30 minutes. She was practically yelling at me while there were other customers in the area. I'm sorry but if there are no bubbles ready at the time that I order then it means you ran out.
