We enjoyed our dinner here, but there are a few notes. The service was good, employees friendly and responsive. The whole place seemed clean. Also, we didn't have to wait to be seated, even at 7pm on a Sunday, and the food came out pretty quick after we ordered it. We ordered the 84 item tier as it had some Wagyu options and it was only $9 more.
The shrimp in the picture are the Argentine Red Shrimp, they were huge! The Coco Shrimp were also very tasty. Meats pictured are the Wagyu Brisket, Mugifuji Pork Belly, Boneless Short Rib and Wagyu Beef Belly. Also pictured, Screaming Orgasm and Garlic Tuna Carpaccio. They were all delicious.
Now as for why I put 4 stars instead of 5. Of the seven pictured main items, five of them are one order per person. The not-pictured Hokkaido Scallops and Oyster Shooters, which we also had and liked, have the same designation.
At $43 per person, I would expect some of these items to be less restricted. You can order more Brisket, but it will be the Angus Beef Brisket, not the Wagyu. That being said, and having eaten both, I am not sure that you can tell the difference after cooking and saucing it. Same this with the shrimp, you'll get the smaller ones the second time around.
It's different for the Boneless Short Ribs though, which I would consider to be a staple of KBBQ. You have to order the 84 item tier, and once you've ordered one per person, there is no way to get more. What the heck???
Also, the Sushi options are basically only rolls. No Nigiri or Sashimi options, so it's not like going to an AYCE Sushi restaurant at all.
Perhaps that is why there is no wait here despite the overall positive experience. Overall though, I would return, I just think that I would order the 50 item, or 70 item tier instead of the 84.
I'll finish by saying that the 50 item option, at $27 includes brisket and pork belly, and a few other good options. I feel like that is a pretty good deal compared to some other places. I would give it 4.5 stars if that was an option.
Edit: I did come back, and did get the 50 item option as I mentioned, and it is probably one of the best deals on Korean BBQ in the Valley. Not many places offer AYCE at $27 that is good quality and good service.
Also, again this time.. no wait. We went to two places before this and both had waits of over one hour. We would have paid more at both the other spots, and probably been happy with it. However, I value my time, and having no wait here is just worth it to me even if I have to pay a bit more, or have fewer options. Changing this to five stars based on another...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at this incredible Korean BBQ spot, and I can honestly say it was one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with sleek, modern décor that still felt cozy and authentic. The ambiance was perfect for both intimate dinners and group gatherings, with each table equipped with its own grill, allowing us to enjoy the interactive experience of grilling our meats right at the table.
Now, let's talk about the food. Absolutely phenomenal. The quality of the meat was top-tier—every cut was fresh, tender, and full of flavor. We went with a variety of options, from the classic galbi (marinated short ribs) to the samgyeopsal (pork belly), and every bite was a revelation. The banchan (side dishes) were also outstanding—crisp, refreshing, and perfectly complementing the grilled meats. The kimchi was perfectly fermented, the pickled radishes a delightful contrast, and the spicy cucumber salad was a zesty treat.
What truly elevated our experience, however, was the service. Our server, Sunny, was absolutely amazing. From the moment she greeted us, she made us feel right at home. Her energy was contagious, and she had a genuine passion for ensuring we had the best experience possible. She walked us through the menu, explaining the different meats and banchan options with such enthusiasm, which really helped us make the best choices. Sunny checked in regularly without being intrusive, always making sure our grill was at the perfect temperature and offering tips on how to cook the meat to perfection.
What impressed me most was how attentive she was to the little details. She made sure our drinks were always filled, our grill was clean, and that we were enjoying every part of the meal. She also took the time to explain some of the more traditional Korean BBQ customs, which added an extra layer of authenticity to our experience.
The whole meal felt like a celebration, and a large part of that was due to Sunny's impeccable service. She is the epitome of what great service should be—knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely caring about her guests' experience. It's clear that she loves what she does, and it shows in the way she engages with customers.
I can't recommend this place enough. From the amazing food to the top-notch service, this Korean BBQ spot is a must-visit. If you're lucky enough to be served by Sunny, you're in for an even more special treat—she truly made our meal memorable, and we can't...
Read moreMy family and I tried this restaurant around the time that they first opened this up for business. This restaurant left such a wonderful impression on us, to which we wanted to revisit again sometime in the near future. I didn't think it was going to take ~1 year to revisit, but we ended up revisiting on the evening of 17 Aug 2024. The décor didn't change much from the time we first ate here compared to when we visited again, but I did notice that the floor was still in its slippery form. I don't know what's going on with the majority of Korean BBQ restaurants in this city, but the floors can be uncomfortably slippery to walk on at times. Regardless, that didn't stop me from enjoying some outstanding Korean BBQ.
I didn't think this restaurant accepted reservations for smaller parties, so we just did a walk-in and got seated right away. I've heard that this restaurant accepts reservations if you have a certain number of people in your party (larger group), but you'll need to call the restaurant to verify this. After we got seated, our server took our drink order right away. It didn't take us long to decide what we were going to eat (which menu/package to choose) because we weren't going to deviate from our initial visit. We opted for Menu B which contained a significant amount of options (I think 70 items to choose from). Within Menu B, we ordered Gyoza, Kimchi Pancake, SoyBean Brisket Soup, Galbi Burger, Angus Beef Brisket, LA Galbi, Spicy Pork, Miso Pork Belly, and Ribeye. Everything was phenomenal...with the Galbi Burger being the star performer of the table. I was a little surprised and slightly disappointed that this restaurant didn't have Kimchi Jjigae, but I didn't lose sleep over it either.
The service was good from the time we walked in; during the meal, and all the way to when we walked out. I do wish the restaurant would have a better venting system because the giant fan/swamp cooler that was in the restaurant was blowing directly towards our table and caused the grill flame to blow out at one point. Regardless, our server fired the grill up again and we were in business. Overall, this place is magnificent. I'm glad that we returned for a second visit because both times were memorable for us and will most likely return for another experience. The prices here are very reasonable with respect to options and quality. I highly recommend this restaurant...
