First off I want to say that I've never actually been in the restaurant itself only gotten food for take out or delivery so I can't speak for what a dine in experience is like.
That being said the food has always been amazing. I've never been dissatisfied with a dish and their crab puffs are by far my girlfriend's favorite in all of Portland (at least that of what we've experienced of course). Everything is delicious, they have some very good chefs.
The staff are very kind as well. I've had a few hiccups in regards to communication, but nothing major. Just recently they apparently changed their menu, but didn't change their website to reflect it. So when I ordered my normal number 68 I did get a number 68 but it wasn't the same dish. However a quick phone call and they gave me the meal I had wanted at no extra charge and were very apologetic for the mix up.
So just make sure you don't order solely by the number, or the website I guess and you should be fine.
BTW the number 68 that I accidentally ordered (the Khao Soi) was really amazing as well. I might have to order that on...
Read moreThis was the worst restaurant experience we've had in a long time. The bar is set very high for Thai Food in the Portland area. Our family met here because our daughter lives in the area and we wanted to find some place close to her house. The service was ok, not great. The worst part is the food, it is obviously not prepared by someone who has a clue what Thai Cuisine should taste like. Mushy sticky overcooked rice, heavy thick way over salted sauces. The salt was so heavy we couldn't finish our food, and left 3/4 of our food on the able. We were charged an 18% automatic gratuity because we had 4 adults, 1 infant and 1 child under 12 at our table. No one else was in the restaurant except for another family of 4, so I guess we were charged because they had to work? I think we must have eaten old left overs because it tasted like last weeks food. The Tom Yum soup, my most favorite Thai soup, was the worst salty sad situation I've experienced in...
Read moreBasic Thai - not great not bad. More like 2.5 stars. Panang Curry with Chicken: the amount of curry is very little since they provide the rice in the same box. The overall flavor was sweet(more) and spicy(less).
Beef pad kee mao: the noodles were stuck together in one big lump and the beef was very dry. Lacked spice. Again too sweet for my liking.
Seafood combo fried rice: there were squid, scallop in the fried rice. Squid has a texture, I personally feel, that's not suitable for fried rice. It's just rubbery. The scallops are nice and soft.
All the dishes were ordered as medium spicy but all of them lacked spice and were...
