This well laid out pub fits into the neighborhood hangout/dive bar category with its established Irish-sports bar theme and comfortable interior. I love dive bars so it gets a 1 1/2 stars for doing that well. We typically only experience this pub on weekend nights for the bands and dancing between 6:30pm to 11:30pm. This time range sees the end of happy hour, the ramp up for the band and the pub shift change. The happy hour food is a great portion for an active night of dancing should the band prove worthy. The menu is simple and easy to read with plenty of standard pub comfort food. The kitchen staff has stabilized and the food is very consistent. 50+ beers on tap is nice but can be a bit overwhelming to choose from. I give out another 1 1/2 stars for doing that well. The live entertainment has been very good with 2 bands on some nights. Especially when the first band is danceable for the 40/50/60 crowd and the second band is better suited for the millennial crowd. That arrangement earns them the fourth star. The reasons for no fifth star are the facility upkeep, bathrooms, lack of parking and bad exterior marketing. This establishment could benefit from a better business sign on the 2 very busy roads. You have to be right on top of the place to see their sign. They're missing on paying customers. The whole place needs a good elbow grease rubdown and some fresh paint maybe some drywall work. The bathrooms are 100% dive bar. Nuff said. Parking hurts business but we started taking Uber so that doesn't matter anymore. Summary: the branding is spot on, beer is cold, food is good and the liquor pour is normal. Worth the visit but pick your day so you'll know what to expect for...
Read moreMy friends and I went to the Dublin pub for a few drinks. We came with our parents and the bartender was very nice and helpful until our parents left. They bought 10 shots for us and the bartender never poured them. After 30 minutes we asked her if we could have our shots just hoping that she forgot them. We were the only people in the bar aside from one couple. She told us she poured them and that “the other people in the bar drank them” and that she wouldn’t “give us free drinks”. We tried to kindly ask for our shots we paid for and she would not give them to us. We bought another round and she told us to leave the bar and that we were not welcome back. We asked for her to check the security cameras because she did not pour us our drinks. She proceeded to call the police on us and said that we “put our hands on her” when we were in the parking lot and she was still in the bar. She not only did not give us our drinks but she called the police on us. I am beyond disgusted by this bar. I am hopeful that the owners take accountability for abusive bartenders that take advantage of their costumers. I just read the owners review and it is honestly laughable. I wrote this review while I was still in the parking lot yet he claims I was blacked out. He has no idea which person was even writing the review. Your defensive reviews are consistent with your negative reviews. I encourage you to show the security tapes. Your egotistical review is clearly a very transparent defense mechanism. By the way I’m still waiting...
Read moreReally loved it here until tonight. Was smoking outside a door that was already open when a security guard said you can’t smoke here, As i was saying im sorry i didnt know, and went to point out that my friends were gonna come up on deck i was smoking on, and needed pointed to the other door he cut me off by screaming i dont give a shit, so loud people in the parking lot came and asked if i was ok. Im good on this bar now which sucks because i really loved it. No coming back from that embarrassment from an innocent mistake. Bartenders are great and always spot on, curly haired bouncer with a stash completely killed the vibe. In response to owner, i did not open the door so i didn’t see the sign, it was opened already and i just walked out took one puff and yes, you did scream at me, random bar goers asked if i was ok. My friends who’ve never been there just pulled up so they didn’t know the ramp was off limits, just as i didn’t so yes, i was trying to tell them to go the other way I’ve never been rude or disrespectful in your bar, as i stated before i loved it. We immediately left instead of being rude or making a scene and I’m sure most people would’ve spoken up in the moment. 2 sides and views to each story obviously we see it differently. Wish your establishment...
