Suuuuuper disappointed. I regularly eat/order Thai food from a wide variety of restaurants in the area (and am a Thai cuisine lover for over three decades), and there are a few staples that are hard to mess up. Pineapple fried rice being one of them. These guys managed to make something that should have been a blast of flavor, infused with turmeric and other spices, i.e. "curry powder" (giving it a golden/yellow color), and make it so bland I had to put my own spin on it. Thai spice level is also pretty standard, with "medium" still being quite high on the spice scale, and anything above that being likely too hot to handle for the western palate. As an Indian, I am comfortable with spicy food but still generally opt for a "medium" when it comes to Thai cuisine. I ordered the pineapple fried rice as medium and simply cannot understand how tasteless it was. I also ordered the "Patty Combo" (which is what it's called on the door dash menu, but I believe was meant to be called Party Combo, looking at their website), a sampler of appetizers including fried tofu, crab puffs, coconut prawns, spring rolls, potstickers and meatballs...but that also failed to impress.
I was dissatisfied with both items and will not be ordering from them again. Luckily, the Beaverton area does have a number of Thai restaurants that do pack a punch in terms of flavor, sadly this was not one of them. I am just glad I didn't waste money ordering...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am providing an h o n e s t review that is neither accommodating nor punative and this one in particular is challenging because the staff were friendly and attentive and because we were the only people eating in on a Friday night ... they have been there for years but must be holding on by a thread. This was our third time eating here over the past 10 years .. about every three years we break down and give it another chance ... and everytime it is very disappointing ... 12 meals and none have been good Thai good not even good white-people Thai food. This time will be the last time. We spent $60 for four entries getting a soup that was flavorless and lacking, pad Thai with an extra lemon grass chicken topping that was nothing more than a chicken cutlet over grey noodles. Yakasoba noodles with mushy freezer burned squid that was inedible and pumpkin curry that was just not there ... all the portions small, all the flavors muted, medium spice was like no spice and mild spice was not even Thai... I cannot say anything more than it was below average and not worthy of trying. The food wasn't even good food. I will note we went there again, willing to give it a third chance, driven by several glowing reviews - I don't know what to tell you other than those reviewers don't know Thai from a hole in the ground. I woukd emphatically recommend passing on...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGuys I wanted to like this place. We came here to try a new Thai place. I was excited for the pad thai and Thai iced tea. We ordered teas and spring rolls first. The spring rolls were pale and filled with too much cabbage (and demons apparently). The sauce was pretty good. I started to feel sick right after eating them. The tea was good and served with a little rose. The entrees came out. Bae ordered Mos Mon and she really liked the taste. I ordered Veggie pad Thai and it didn't smell very good. There was too much sauce and the noodles were too thin. I will say that the tofu was cooked well. It didn't taste good but it wasn't so gross that it was inedible. The service was fine. As I said, I felt sick after the egg rolls, and as we were leaving I really started to feel sick. About 10 minutes later bae said she felt it too. And 2 minutes after that we were both in pretty bad pain. I suspect something was wrong with the egg rolls. Moral of story, I wouldn't recommend eating here. I do feel bad leaving this review because it is quite clearly a family restaurant, but we also got...
