Been a customer for several years. Always loved it until they sold to new people. I asked for a very uncomplicated order of please brown the chicken. A food place should understand that term. If you ask to brown the butter..they should know what to do. same with chicken. First time they did not do it. said they would comp. I never took advantage of the comp. Same thing all over again when I called in a pick up. When I got there they asked if I wanted cold chicken on my hot Alfredo...I mean might as well of asked me if I wanted raw chicken. I did not call in to wait for my order. They said they understood on the phone they did not. Went round and round with the owner. Told him I wanted the comp this time and he accused me of wanting a free meal over and over. I have given years of my business. always a good tipper. What a horrible business man. I wanted to be comped out of frustration and principle not because I need a free meal. I ended up just walking out. I have worked for a 46 year old restaurant in Portland an institution. We would have immediately apologized and sent them out happy with an uncharged meal for the inconvenience and probably with a cookie to send the out a happy customer and make things right. not argued about what was their incompetence and make the customer feel at fault. The food is not as good as when...
Read moreMy hubby and I have been coming here since we got together (almost 4 years ago) and have taken my mother before she passed away, my younger sister, and best friend here (as well as recommended it to countless others who all said it's now a favorite). This is one of our favorite spots the food is always hot and fresh the customer service is top notch. Its casual enough to where you can be comfortable coming in wearing anything and very home style "we're all family here" type of environment. Sometimes they get pretty busy and crowded and it can get a little loud or hard to find a spot but even then I've never had a bad experience here. All of their dishes are to die for (you also have to try their deserts) but my personal favorite order is a rootbeer with spaghetti and meatballs (ask for extra parmesan) and cheesy garlic bread with tiramisu for dessert. I'm almost 9 months pregnant and this place has been one of the few places out that I've craved throughout my entire pregnancy. Cannot say enough good about them. They are my hubby's and my favorite! Oh and did I mention they're not too rough on your wallet either? ;) If you want good pasta and a casual environment with kickbutt service and dessert to boot this...
Read moreWe "found" Noodles quite by accident. We were going to celebrate our anniversary, at an old favorite, when we found they had "fallen of the wagon" at the health department. Noodles was a second choice. Not any more! Now it's a first choice! Delicious traditional Italian food, and a mix of Northern inspired additions. The house smoked salmon is delicious. The staff seems to enjoy seeing their patrons enjoying both the traditional and the locally inspired dishes. The Bolognese sauce is just the right touch, meaty and delicious. Generous portions. Good prices. And if you want something "not so Italian" the Beef Stroganoff is wonderful. Generous drinks, with Northwest wines and beers, if you choose. Specials come and go, but the old favorites are there to keep you coming back time and again. Our NEW favorite restaurant. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Spotlessly clean. The patrons always are helpful and friendly. People who are honestly enjoying their meals. Try some of the "not traditional Italian" items. They aren't "afterthoughts", they are delicious alternatives. A neighborhood staple, with choices for everyone. A new, for...
