Delectables By Danette — Restaurant in Conway

As I sit here enjoying the oowy, goowie chocolate brownies I got from a bakery called Delectables. I thought I should share my experience with my fellow pastry lovers.

This tiny but quaint shop is easy to find off the main street. There you get to see the magic happening just feet away from you across the pastry counter. The owner, Danette, who was dressed in a cupcake apron, told us about the treats she had just finished baking. She was excited to describe in detail her culinary creations. It’s obvious this lady LOVES her craft. And she loves her customers, and it shows. The moment we walked in we were greeted with a big” Hello” and seconds later she’s offering us a taste of her latest treasures hot out of the oven. They were so good and I thought to myself, “Does it get any better than this?”

Delectables is a very small bakery that’s big on charm and yumminess (Is that even a word?) When you go, ask her about her two signature pastry products: the ones people from out of town come to buy. (No. I’m not telling). And check the blackboard for the special Delight of the Day. And oh ya, if there’s a line, it’s worth the wait because like so many cool places, the best ones aren’t always on the main street. If you look you will find those special places where the locals go. I wish I could give 10 stars! We got a 2 tier wedding cake designed like a birch tree, it was beautiful! We also got 40 cupcakes with 4 different flavors. Sooo delicious! Really, try the almond, my guests were commenting on how genuine the taste was. I couldn't get enough of the confetti cupcakes with red rasberry filling! My bottom tier cake was marble with red rasberry. I had to hold myself back from getting a third piece. We put cupcakes aside for our honeymoon. It is 3 days later, we have been eating them for breakfast, still delicious, still so fresh! Danette was a pleasure to communicate with. Our taste tasting was very personized, love trying the different filling flavors. Danette really took the time, in person and on the phone to make sure our day and the delivery of our cake and cupcakes went well. My husband and I were super thankful for Danette and her obvious...

I worked with Danette for my wedding cake. Danette not only makes the most delicious and beautiful cakes I’ve ever had, but she is an absolute pleasure to work with. If you are looking for a wedding cake vendor, look no further. As soon as I spoke to her on the phone, I knew she was going to do an amazing job. She is so sweet, calming, and passionate about what she does. Our cake testing was SO much fun and the cakes were all so delicious (even my husband who doesn’t like cake was devouring Danette’s cake samples). Danette personally reached out to my wedding vendors and coordinated the cake delivery and flower decor with my florist. I got so many compliments on how delicious the cake was, people are still talking about it weeks later!
