The negative: I would say Maly’s definitely has some kinks to work out. Several of the machines were off-line due to the “network being down”. They couldn’t tell me how many points were on my card; which also meant that you couldn’t redeem your points for prizes. Normally, I would chalk up this up to “stuff happens sometimes”, but I’ve only been twice and this has happened both visits. They need to create an infrastructure that can support all these gaming systems on the same network, in addition to having a back up plan for ticket redemption.
The worrisome: Several of the machines have a very low payout limit programmed in, which seemed… pretty unethical? We watched a person win one of the ticket ring games, and decided it looked fun. We went over to try the game and it said it had reached its payout limit and to come back later. We were also playing a Rick and Morty game, and it turned red and said we had reached its payout limit as well.
The positive: The food was really good and the staff members were so friendly! All the physical gaming aspects were amazing: laser tag, bowling, ping pong, etc. Everything was clean, fun, and an ideal setting for our group, and the atmosphere was exciting and fun.
Final thoughts: I love this place because it’s the only one of its kind outside of going to Little Rock. I think with a little tightening up on the network side of things, maximizing how the floor space is utilized, and implementing good faith tactics with the electronic gaming, this place could become a staple in Conway...
Read moreThe arcade part of the establishment is fun, though I wish there was more of a variety it was enjoyable nonetheless. The real issue came with the restaurant part. My group and I were seated down at approximately 8:05 p.m and were told by the host that a waiter would be with us soon and that they would bring menus and silverware as he had apparently ran out. We had to go alert the host at 8:30 that we had not at all been seen by a waiter and it later took another 10 minutes for one to come serve us. The food took around 30 minutes to come out, to which 2/3 of the restaurant had been empty and a majority of guest were seated at the bar. When the food did arrive, 2 members of my group had ordered burgers and they had no seasoning and were quite bland. Near the end of our meal the waiter had asked us if we wanted any refills to which 2 of my group members said yes. One of my members got an iceless sweet tea and another requested for a refill of her lemonade and received what appeared to be soda water or watered down sprite. Either way, I recommend the games but don’t even...
Read moreThe place looks super cute! However, both front desk attendees failed to inform our group about the limits of the timed arcade cards. You can’t get tickets from the games you play. No one in my group was informed of this, we even made comments at the desk about prizes we were hoping to earn AFTER we looked through the “redemption” room and went back to the desk for arcade cards- would have been a prime moment to disclose that you can’t play ALL games, some are just simply not available with the timed card apparently. They did tell some of us that claw machines wouldn’t work but a handful of other games, non claw, were unavailable with the card as well.
When I went back up to the desk to ask about these issues, the man at counter simply said “Oh yeah…. That’s the catch” and stared at me. The timed arcade cards were pitched to us as a “good” deal and a great experience for our group and what we were looking for this night. Would say we are all highly disappointed for our first experience here and would NOT suggest the...
