I’ve eaten at MarketPlace since they have been open in Conway. Plenty of fond memories and great meals over the years. They used to be THE spot in Conway for many years but have really fallen off the last few years.

This feedback is mostly for management and ownership. The consistent issues that have plagued them for months (or longer) and lack of addresses by management/ownership is a major problem.

My wife and I went for Friday night dinner. When we got our entrees, immediately we knew my wife’s turkey filet was overdone. You could tell by just looking at it. It should have never left the kitchen or the runner’s hand. It was so overdone that you could barely stick a fork through it. We’ve ordered this dish a hundred times over the last several years. Things like this happen so no big deal, we immediately sent it back politely and our server once seeing it, knew it was way overdone too.

What proceeded to follow was most concerning. It look 30 minutes to get a new entree for her. It took longer for her to get the second cooked turkey filet than it originally took us to order, receive our first three courses, and for me to finish my entree. When it did finally hit the table, I had finished my plate and they didn’t think to add her two fresh sides to the remade entree. The second attempt at the entree was cooked fresh and cooked correctly.

Not long after sending the first entree back, we were notified we’d received a comped dessert for the trouble. However, by the time we got the second attempted entree 30 minutes later, that didn’t feel that a fair makeup for the situation.

The free dessert we received was our favorite, their famed chocolate mess. However, the mess was literally a mess. Their freezer for ice cream has been not fully functioning since the Fall of last year (maybe longer). The ice cream was melted and the fudge around the glass and plate were not solid as usual. Both issues obviously from the lack of a fully operational freezer at proper temps. This has been the case the last several times we have gotten the chocolate mess. This time it was also missing whip cream and nuts. Their server confirmed the issue with the storage of their ice cream freezer so they know they have a problem. And again, this has been an issue affecting the quality of their product for months (if not longer).

When it was all said and done, all factors and timing considered, all we received for the trouble was the chocolate mess comped. We already had a mini dessert included with the two can dine for $39.99 deal we had ordered off of. So while the extra gesture was nice, it did not come close to making up for our experience. We also did not hear from the manager or receive a visit from the restaurant’s leadership.

Mistakes happen, we totally get it. My wife and I have extensive restaurant knowledge and experience. What is most bothersome and why I’d like for the proper decision makers to see this was it certainly seems like this restaurant has slipped into a flippant approach and a lack of action on proactively or even timely retroactively solving issues that lower the quality of food product they serve and the experience MPG provides.

At the end of the day, these freezer issues have been prolonged and all the issues we experience passed through multiple people who have opportunities to properly address it, yet for some reason don’t or their efforts continue to fail to permanently solve the issues. The lack of awareness by the multiple hands in our situation last night is definitely frustrating but the lack of action from management/ownership with the months long freezer issue is downright concerning.

Pains me to say that we will likely not return, we can spend that same amount of money and eat anywhere else in Conway with a much better...

My wife & I have eaten here many times over the years and for most of that time this place has been very good, however, on the last several visits we have noticed some things that weren’t quite right. On our latest visit we ordered the “for two” meal deal where you get an appetizer and dessert to share and a salad and entrée. Buttery bread has always been a staple at this restaurant but the last two times that we have been none was offered. On our previous visit we asked for bread, but when it came, it was so salty that it was inedible. We didn’t bother to ask this time. When our salads arrived, my wife had asked for her dressing on the side but it was not delivered that way. We did have to ask for our drinks to be delivered sometime after we had started eating the salads. As for the salads, it appeared that they had been setting too long since the lettuce was not crisp and a little brown around the edges. The appetizer of spinach dip, and both of our entrées were good. When we got to the dessert portion. We ordered chocolate chunk cake, which is served with ice cream. It seems that they forgot to warm the chocolate chunk cake since it was delivered to us at refrigerator temperature. As expensive as it is to eat out, it does not seem unreasonable for these things to be done better. We will probably give this place a little break before...

We went to eat Sunday at 11:45 am, we had a 20 minute wait which is usual with this restaurant. When we were seated they took out drink order. We order tea, they came back and said they were brewing fresh, so we waited after about 10 minutes we noticed that a table that came in after us has already been served their tea. So we started trying to find our server. We finally found another server and asked her to send our server over. Our servers showed up and then she brought us our drinks. So far we had been there 25 minutes not counting our wait to be seated. So we ordered an appetizer and our meal. Our appetizer came out fast, however they never brought us plates or silverware. So we started looking for our server again. We could not see her, so when another server came by we asked her to send our server over which she did. Our server brought us silverware but didn’t bring us plates as we asked. We finished our appetizer and waited about another 30 minutes for our food to come out which was brought out by some over than our server. When we got our food the sand which which I order was the wrong sandwich. I didn’t want to wait another 30 minutes so I ate what I got. One of the worst experiences I have had at this restaurant. $45 bill for 2 people , Overall time in restaurant was 2hrs...

WHEN YOU GET FED RAW CHICKEN, YOU DESERVE TO KNOW WHO WAS SUPPOSED TO COOK IT!!! I am really close to reporting this restaurant to the health department. They served my table (and the table next to us) raw chicken. This was my 2nd time trying Marketplace Grill. The first time, I went to the line in Springdale. I had a Cajun pasta type dish I loved. After dinner I got extremely sick and threw up for hours. I couldn't think about going there for years without feeling sick to my stomach..... TONIGHT. After my family convinced me to give them a second chance, they served me raw chicken. I took the one picture at the restaurant. The others were taken when I got home. The manager (or whoever acted kinda like one) told me it was because they got the chicken from Cysco. She refused to send a cook out to address the problem though. She said she'd do anything but she wouldn't have a cook come talk to me. Weird. Decide for yourselves. Would you eat the chicken in these pictures? If it looks good then Marketplace Grill is right up your alley! AND YES, THE TABLE NEXT TO US SENT THEIR FOOD BACK TOO.

Allison was so sweet and very attentive. My meal however was not very good. I even mentioned it (I had a prime dip and sweet potato fries). The sweet potato fries were yummy but the prime dip was not! I had one bite, the second I just took a forkful of meat, dipped it the au jus and tried it like that. It had no flavor at all. When I mentioned it, no action was taken, I was never given an options to rectify it and nothing was taken off my bill. I left the majority of it uneaten. My meal was $20 for something I didn’t eat. * Marketplace reached out to me and went above and beyond my expectations to make my meal “right”. I don’t usually complain, and I try to make positive reviews, with this I will definitely be back to allow them the opportunity to get my business back! Thank you Marketplace (John) for reaching out to me!
