Well, this was one of those hidden gems that we are not familiar with, but the food and atmosphere is one that is missed because of this.
My wife found this place and it is hidden in The Villages at Millers Chapel. You can smell the goodness as soon as you enter. We got our booth and Tia was our server. She was great.
We were going for our usual Long Islands when she suggested the Margarita special at that time was 2/$12. So we ventured out and we had the Strawberry and Passion Fruit, with the rim lined with sugar instead of salt. These were to me super sweet, maybe the salt might have toned it down, and as for us, they weren’t as strong as I would have liked, but nothing that a quick shot of Vodka couldn’t fix…
We then ordered as an appetizer the Guacamole. You’ll get chips and salsa off the bat anyway, but the Guacamole was the freshest we have ever tasted. The lady who made it brought it to the table personally too, and said if it wasn’t right, she’ll take care of it. That’s confidence in your ability right there and appreciated.
Our main dishes that we got was the Salmon Tropical and the 4 Amigos Fajitas. I’ll hazard a guess you can see which one was which.
The Salmon Tropical was a good choice as well. Came with Rice, and a salad. Salmon was topped with a Mango Pico sauce. Very moist and didn’t last long. Although it was too sweet from the sauce for a Salmon, but then some may like it that way. Overall a good dish.
As you see in the video, that Fajita plate was HOT! Salmon was tender and flaky, cooked perfectly. The Fajita plate came with my request of corn tortillas, along with the normal side items of beans, pico de gallo, and rice. The beans were what you would expect, hot and tasty. The 4 Amigos were flank steak, chicken, shrimp and chorizo. It was on a bed of vegetables, onions with red and green peppers. The meats were just the way they should be, seasoned well and tender. Shrimp was cook perfectly, not tough at all…
We ended up getting the Long Island Iced Teas too. My wife wanted a strong one, and I enjoy my money’s worth too, they were house, but they didn’t taste like house. And when I tell you that they were strong… I couldn’t finish mine, and that is a first for me… Made well, no mix here…
Thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience here. I’m sure we’ll...
Read moreI was really looking forward to eating here until I got here. I’ve never actually had such a bad experience at a restaurant until I ate here. when I first arrived, the server never brought us straws for our drinks, the cheese dip was cold, and my margarita was messed up. I pointed to the one I wanted and got something differently 3 times!!
I had to ask another server to fix it because my server was no where to be found. I also had to ask someone else to bring ketchup and everything else we needed but didn’t receive. Keep in mind we still don’t have straws for our drinks until half way into our meal.
I wanted a fresh made margarita with blackberry and passion fruit mix not a house mix that was the first time the Margarita was messed up and there was no sugar rim like I asked for. The margarita I wanted should’ve been made with Herradurra but they made it with Patron the second time. I didn’t ask for that. I let the manager Iris know that patron makes me sick and she brought me back THE SAME MARGARITA I DRANK put it in a new glass and topped it off with Herradurra like I wouldn’t still taste the Patron?? I told her Patron makes me sick and she still wanted me to drink that. I was furious by the end of it, but I was still very kind and tipped my server ( according to how she served us which was barely) The service was actually terrible and I wasn’t helped. I’m a server so I understand, but they did absolutely nothing to help me on my visit. It means nothing when I say this but I will never...
Read moreNormally I have a pretty good experience with this restaurant but today I was disturbed by how I was treated. I picked up an online order. I took it to my car and noticed that a dessert was missing.I went back into the restaurant and told them that I was missing a dessert. One of employees asked me to bring the bags back in so that he could check. I looked at him strangely and he decided that he would just go get me one instead. The piece he bought back was so incredibly miniscule. He acted like he was giving me something for free or I was trying to steal. My order was over $60, why would I try to steal a $4 pie slice? I gave the pie back to him along with the other small dessert that I was given and said keep it, it's fine. He said that he'll get me another piece in a "nice nasty" sort of way. I said okay. But I sat there for a second and I changed my mind and walked out, there was no way I was taking anything from him. I was afraid that he was going to do something to the dessert. If you know what I mean. I didn't realize that I had a confirmation with an itemized receipt until I got home. I wish that I had that at the time to show him that I wasn't trying to get over. But even then, if your order is over $60, why would you treat your customers like that over a $4 dessert. I order from them several times a month and referred their restaurant to many people. I know that they don't care if I don't return again. But I won't. Thanks, but no...
