Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Conyers

As a former leader before I was unfortunately terminated by the GM I would say I really like the job I could very well manage the store better than the GM William Robinson I dedicated my time energy and it all was terminated over an ego first off I was not properly trained good thing I'm a fast learner and I have leadership skills and have over 10 years of customer service which is important and I know how to communicate I believe and also think that the Gm was in competition with me he was so busy trying to make friends abusing his power by talking to his employees about leadership matters dividing the team and subconsciously putting one another against each other people have left because not only does he not communicate he also is very rude shady and shown himself to not be worthy of any leadership definitely not a GM he needs is to be trained on how to be humble communicate and have a interest in his customers with empathy as well as his team he would assign me duties then go back and refute what I tried to establish with the employees where I was not respected he would allow the employees to come in when they felt would not communicate with leadership the cash drawer was always over so I believe that MAYBE stealing was going on I was not introduced as a leader I had to introduce myself through group me he would allow the employees to talk with him without them doing work he put alot of duties and responsibilities on me and i was not a asst manager so I started to have a issue with what he was allowing I had an incident with another lead where she was very rude Nidia and he took her side but witness her giving me attitude where I professionally addressed her and set her straight once everything became overwhelming for me I addressed it to him via text and he fired me and sent me a termination paper upon my request stating I was going to give him a date when I was going to resign but he fired me the same day and he also stated the incident that happened where I was very unprofessional to Nidia which was a lie and when I tried to confront him about the lie he block me honestly he needs to be fired immediately every time he wanted to talk to me I told him the truth and he would get angry behind it he doesn't deal with the customers he has attitude towards them and honestly I need to talk to the owner because it's so much more I will not disclose here however the food is great if I was still working there I would train the employees on how to properly make the smoothies and food so depending on who's there you may not want to waste your time or money there because you won't be satisfied and the customer service is not on point honestly I would keep some employees and clean house including Nidia and William and retrain everyone again now Tyler and Ronique are good leaders very sweet and I never had any issues with them but when you have a narcissistic person in power it causes division I am waiting for my check and if it's $1 off I will sue and another thing I can't access my check stubs only the GM and I don't like that at all however I would advise whoever is consider applying to this job DONT! pretty sad I was terminated but life goes on I am thankful I had a job already in the works GOD is amazing and I'm forever blessed so clearly I was never the issue but I am very thankful for the opportunity...

It was my first time there...my sister ordered a quesadilla with a smoothie online because she had a coupon, and I went to pick it up. They went to make it when I got there. Since I was there already and they hadn't made hers yet, I ordered one of the quesadillas... They burned mine AND they burned hers. The whole place was smoking. I didn't realize that's what they burned until I went to eat mine on the drive back and tasted it. For such an expensive food, it didn't taste that good...For that price, I could have gone to McDonald's or Domino's and been full and had something that tasted good.

My sister gave me some of hers and I realized hers was just as burned. You'd think they'd realize they were burning them after they burned 1, but I couldn't believe they'd burn both. They didn't even grill them at the same time. They did 1 at a time! I didn't try the smoothie.

I don't think I'll be ordering from here again. I'll pick up my sister's order if she ever gets it again, but I won't get actual food here again. I kind of wish I hadn't wasted my money going here in the first place. And if they knew they burned them, they should have done them over. I was the only one there when I came in, but someone else came in after me. There was someone taking the order and someone else doing the food. There were a few others in the back too. We can't blame the food burning on anything but them. It wasn't busy, the girl was actually standing right there the whole time holding the grill down each time when they burned.

Soooo, first let me say that I don’t blame the teenagers running the store. YES 4 TEENAGERS RUNNING THE STORE. No adults in sight. I blame the owner/manager. The teen at the counter was extremely rude and messed up my order. When I asked for the receipt to confirm my order he refused to give it me and stated he’d give it to me when my order came up. Of course the order came out wrong. When we complained the young lady in the back abut the order being wrong, she threw our flatbread out. When my wife said she didn’t want them to remake it and asked for a refund, she loudly complained in the back. We ordered a chicken and cheese quesadilla, a southwest quesadilla, and a pesto flatbread.

What did we leave with? 2 chicken and cheese quesadillas. The food order still ended up being wrong after we tried to correct them twice. The store was a mess and I will NEVER return. This experience ruined TSC for me. Used to be a fan.

By the way! The smoothie attached is supposed to be blue. They gave us the smoothie with no explanation as to why it didn’t look like it should. We just assumed it was missing an ingredient. Didn’t bother to ask if we still wanted it or not. They just made it and said...
