I'm so glad I gave Empress Kitchen a try! After being let down by other Jamaican restaurants, I was skeptical at first, but this place truly exceeded my expectations. The curry chicken with wild rice and broccoli was absolutely delicious and reminded me of my dad's cooking. The Red Ranger drink, made with beets and apples, was a refreshing surprise. I spent over $40 on two “large” açaí bowls and was extremely disappointed. The bowls were nowhere near a true large size and missing several of the listed fruit toppings, there wasn’t even a full kiwi in either bowl. For that price, I expected quality and freshness, but instead everything looked and tasted like it had been sitting out all day.

This is not Horatio's, which was at the same location. The menu is similar. This place is not on DoorDash. Do not order from Horatio's old DoorDash account thinking it will work for the new owners. It will not as it is not connected to Empress. You can order online from the Empress Kitchen website. I ordered the herb chopped chicken meal with cabbage and wild rice. It was delicious.
