Lets start with the positives...Today was my 3rd visit here. First visit, food was great, hot chocolate was EH...The wait was long! To be seated I understand because it isn't a huge space, however, we did notice tables being filled while we were waiting and we were ahead of those being seated.
Second visit, sat right down, food was great, server was good. My only issue was that the server took a little while to come back to check on us but it was fairly busy that morning.
This last time....5/22/25. This was a High School Graduation Brunch! Waited over an hour for a party of 9. Not too upset at that because of the space. When seated, Alayah greeted us as our server and she was very personable and took our orders with accuracy and speed. HOWEVER, the FOOD TOOK FOREVER to come out! First meals out were burgers, when asked for cheese on a burger, my daughter was given cold cheese, she had to ask for the patty to be taken back to allow the cheese to melt. My husband and I ordered French Toast, mine came out, his never did.....chicken and waffles came out long after the French toast, my friend ordered the amazing Avocado toast, toast was burnt and toppings were added to cover but you cannot mask the burnt taste! That was remade fairly quickly however, lacked a bit on the second go around... my two younger kids, one ordered grilled cheese, that was one of the last meals to come out and it was burnt as well....GRILLED CHEESE! My 3 year olds pancake never made it to the table, all the while my husbands French toast never made it either. We asked to speak to the manager who was also the lead/sole chef. Yes he listened but never uttered an apology. Being a business owner sitting at a table with higher management professionals, another business owner, a healthcare professional and a hospitality professional, nodding and "yes ma'am" doesn't suffice when you've been sitting for hours with kids food and the man paying the bills food never made it to a plate!!! I WAS HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED IN THE FOOD AND THE MANAGERS RESPONSE. THE WAIT STAFF WAS EXCELLENT AND TRULY TRIED THEIR BEST!!! It may have just been a bad day, but atleast apologize for the lack of service. Yes they took the items off the bill that didn't make it to the table but I dont believe that was a sufficient resolution. Be weary of eating here, it's the true definition of "a hit or a miss" had one bland experience, one great experience and one...
Β Β Β Read moreWe ventured here to try something new for our brunch date because we liked the thought of adding somewhere else to our list of places. This place quickly turned into a no for us.
I recommend more training for your staff. ServSafe training for your kitchen and management, and customer service training for your waitstaff. I also recommend mandatory daily temperature logs and 3 hour station checks that include re-temping, and sanitation checks based on other reviews.
My son didn't even make it home before he started to get sick off of this morning's meals. I thankfully made it home and got the car cleaned up before I started getting sick myself.
There was no table check from our waiter other than to see if we wanted another 4$ choclate milk, He didn't check back after a few minutes with the food dropped to see if the food was okay or if we needed anything, so I couldn't tell him that my chorizo gravy wasn't even luke warm when it came out... but I was hungry so I ate it anyway thinking it must have gotten cold from the fans they have blasting inside. I didn't check my son's chicken before tossing the rest of the container we brought home.
When I called the store to speak with the manager on duty, I wasn't looking for anything other than someone educated on how to properly handle the situation, that is not what I got. Instead I had to inform her of what she should do. She did ask the right question of "what did you eat". However, continually asking "how can I help" is ridiculous, you aren't gonna get in the car and rub my son's back while he gets sick...
1.Go back in the kitchen and make sure your food is safe. Ensure your staff is heating everything for hot holding to 165 like they're supposed to! Make sure no one else in your dining room is gonna get sick today.
Don't tell me everything is made to order, I run kitchens in Atlanta, I know how they operate. I know what on my plate was made to order and what was sitting in a steam table or warming drawer. Based on my son's stomach and the time it has taken for him to "take everything togo", nothing we ate was held at a proper temperature.
Everything about our experience today from the underwhelming food (I'd seriously rethink those honey brown butter biscuits. They are hard, dense and visually look unappatizing), inattentive staff and Togo experience will definitely have us going back to our regular spots...
Β Β Β Read moreI was excited to learn that Conyers has added a new brunch spot! However, I have mixed feelings about my experience today. To be clear, this was my 1st time trying them and I probably shouldn't have ordered Togo, then maybe my experience would've been comparable to those who left reviews previously.
To start, the ease of ordering over the phone was okay except, I noticed that there were extra charges aside from those items I ordered and when I inquired, the young lady explained to me that their system had been charging extra for certain items such as the cheese, which was included as part of the grilled chicken sandwich. Although she was able to get someone to remove the additional charges, the fact that she was aware of this and was still going to charge me for it was a little puzzling.
The establishment is very nice! Very welcoming! When I arrived to pickup my order, the young lady was very attentive and walked me over to the bar to checkout. After paying, I began to check my order, and I noticed that the accuracy of my order was incorrect. The young lady handled getting this corrected. Another observation was that the size of the chicken filet on the sandwich was not comparable to a $15 chicken sandwich that I've ever had! It was relative to the size of a $7 sandwich and as a fellow foodie who loves trying different restaurants, I was highly disappointed. The bun was legit almost bigger and thicker than the chicken filet itself and since it was char-grilled, it may have been left on the grill a little too long because some pieces of the filet at the ends were very tough and burnt. Lastly, the sweet potato pie was incredibly small and was just okay. I didn't like it but that's just my opinion nor did I expect it to be that size for $6/ slice.
Overall the food was okay and maybe dining- in provides a different experience. I'm normally not one to question the cost of food items, if it's worth it! If i want, I get it. Unfortunately after spending $44 on 2 chicken grilled chicken sandwiches with fries, and a piece of pie, the price point doesn't match up with portion sizes, and I'm not too pleased with that at all. I understand that this is a new establishment and there will be some kinks to workout but charging what you all charge for the size of the...
