My fiance and I recently went to this location after I was done with work one night. It was about 8pm and the restaurant was not super busy. We ordered two waters to start and it took a little longer than usual to receive them. We then placed our orders (we had the 2 for $25) and waited to receive our salads. As I had just finished work and not had dinner yet, I was very hungry. After about 10 minutes I finally flagged down another server to ask if she could figure out where our salads were. Our server came back out and told us that there was some sort of "miscommunication" in the back with the salads. As a server myself, I could tell that the "miscommunication" was that she forgot about it. We received our salads about 3 minutes later. At this point, our server became almost hostile and did not really talk to us again. About one minute after our salads came out, our food came. I personally prefer to enjoy my salad before my food comes because then I either have to abandon the salad or let my food get cold. I quickly finished my salad and went to enjoy the steak I had ordered. It was quite overcooked to what I had ordered. I ordered medium rare and mine was medium well, bordering well done. I waited for our server to return. After a couple minutes I had run out of water and had finished most of the rest of my meal. I saw our server go to a couple other tables, but mostly she was in the kitchen or talking with other staff members. After about fifteen minutes I finally got up and asked the bartender if I could have some more water since I was drinking all of my fiance's. I had finished all of my food except my steak. Our server finally noticed that I was up at the bar and came up and said, "Do you need something, or are you just getting water?" with quite a bit of attitude. I told her I was waiting for water for a while and that my steak was overcooked. She merely told me, "I'll go get a manager". I am fine with her going to get a manager, but personally, I would have apologized and taken the steak back to start a fresh one right away. She disappeared into the kitchen and a couple minutes later the manager came. He was genuinely nice and apologetic. He took the steak and came back with one that was cooked to my liking. He then offered to take a portion of the bill off for us. The server did not check on us afterwards except to ask my fiance if he would like a box. We paid and she brought over our receipt and said a curt, "thanks." I was very disappointed with the service, and only gave a rating of two stars due to the manager's service. I believe my servers' name was Andi.. and here's why I wasn't very impressed. I wasn't asked my drink order when the two guys with me were asked. After she got theirs she just straight up walked away. The Bloody Mary my fiancee ordered, though wasn't exactly the servers fault, was horrible. Tasted like straight clamato. The server came back to ask my fiancee to change his order because he asked for no tomato on the new caprese burger. It wasn't able to have no tomato because the ingredients are "pre-packed" At the same time of my fiancee having to re-order, the server had to re-ask me what I had ordered because she forgot even though she had written it down. Smh. Our server had polietly named off the current specials to the table that was sat right next to us, but failed to mention the specials to us. Missed some great deals. Bummed. Our food was served, but our ceaser salad was completely forgotten. It was supposed to come out before our entrees to begin with. The waitress went to the table that was seated by us explaining that she thought she had forgotten to put their order in and was freaking out. Then she explained how she forgot they were waiting for happy hour and their order was put in early. But "Everything was okay!" Because she gave them happy hour prices anyways.
I was very shocked, because everytime I've gone to Applebee's (I've never been to this location though) the servers are usually professional and on top of things. Read moreHonestly, this place is either hit or miss. First time I ever went to Applebee's it was not the greatest experience. The servers were all busy, so we had to wait a bit to get seated, and when we finally did, the table was not even wiped down. We asked for either a different spot or to get the table and booth wiped down. Took a good 5-10 minutes to even get anything.. we had to use some napkins to wipe the table down ourselves. We finally got our menus and the waitress did not check in on us, which is understandable because again, they seemed to be quite busy. We ordered and ended up waiting a good half hour or so to even get our apps. At this point, we were already fed up and ready to just leave, but then our mains came out shortly after. The food came out sizzling but uncooked. Someone had ordered a chicken and bacon thing and the bacon looked raw, it was disgusting. I had ordered a steak to be medium and it came out well done. Like...???? Our water cups were empty and we had requested a pitcher but never received it. That was kind of annoying because the waitress was not checking in on us. Anyway, we all spent maybe five minutes picking through our food and decided that it was about time for us to leave. We asked for the bill and it looked like we were possibly charged twice for something, but decided that it's not a big deal.. I don't know, Applebee's is just... I don't know.
