I have always loved Texas Roadhouse and had a good experience. BUT today left a sour taste in my mouth.. my husband and I came to have dinner. Put in 2 orders of ribeye/rib combo. It was quiet a wait because it was packed. Once it arrived I immediately noticed it was not the ribeye. The waitress said it was a sirloin. I told her we ordered the rib eye and she apologized and we gave her the plates back... As she was walking away with the plates our main waitress stopped her and she brought the plates back to the table and apologized and said we can just eat the sirloin while our ribeye is being cooked. I was happy with her customer service because we weren't expecting that... A few minutes later a manager came to the table. Tall with dark hair... His tone, energy and attitude was so off putting. He asked what the issue was and I said oh we were brought the wrong steak but it's okay.. he then said yea were making the right one for you in the back BUT I will need you to take your sirloin off your plate and put it in a side plate and give it to me... I was a little shocked because our waitress told us to keep it but did as we were asked. Our waitress sees that and comes back to the table and says "I don't know why he did that"..we said it was okay.. but honestly that whole interaction made me uncomfortable... I asked to talk to another manager. And the same one comes back. Asked if we had a issue and I stated how I felt about his customer service and attitude.. he wanted to go back and forth. And I didn't want it to be a scene so I dismissed him.. another manager came who was the nicest. He tried his best to turn our experience around along with another girl and our waitress. He listened and sympathized with how I felt and wanted to make it better. The ribeyes came and I instantly just wanted the bill and not the steak anymore. And still wanted to pay for EVERYTHING we ordered plus tip... The new manager was awesome and thank you Texas Roadhouse for hiring someone like him. I don't remember his name. But he had glasses and dark hair if that helps!.. he is the reason I will return. Because I vowed not to come back after that encounter with the 1st manager. I honestly felt like he saw 2 black people and wanted to give us bad service. The undertone screamed discrimination... No smile no sorry just weird...

She could have picked any place local to dine but being the die hard Texas roadhouse fan that she is the choice was very clear. Texas roadhouse for the win right? Wrong, we arrived shortly before 5pm presumably shortly before the dinner rush. All individuals for the birthday celebration was present minus 1 child, however i already knew what was being ordered. We were told that we needed to wait for the 11 year old child to show in order to be seated. No biggie only a 45 minute delay. It is what it is but it was certainly news to me because this has never happened in the 5 years ive been going to this location. Parents and my significant other has shown up before me or visa versa and not once has the party been waited to be seated until everyone arrives. Fast forward to actually being seated we were asked is there any special occasion that you celbrating to which we replied our daughters birthday. We ordered appetizers and entrees. The appetizers were very good but the food was ordered incorrectly. All steaks were requested well done for the 6 children in our group however everything was cooked incorrectly. pink pink to be exact. This caused a delay and an adult burger showed up instead of a kids slider meal so had to wait for that to be remade. It literally took so long that the kitchen had to bag up everyones food because we couldnt just keep sotting around at the restaurant. Our server never brought out the birthday saddle and through all this i still tipped 20% for a glorified takeout experience. This is the only location we ever go to so to recieve the service we recieve was pretty disappointing. In my oppinion this is what happens when a company beings investors in and give them a huge leash to switch up whatever. I guess do better next time if there is a next time. Read moreWe dropped off 1 of our party members to get our name on the waiting list, we came in about 5 minutes later & there was only bread & butter on the table, no water in sight. The server walked by our table 3 times before she even greeted us to ask if we wanted something to drink. We waited so long for her to show up, we ordered our drinks & meal at the same time. Drinks were dropped off relatively quick but our meal took forever & we all ordered the same thing with minor variances. Steaks were not cooked to appropriate requested temp, baked potatoes were not entered correctly therefore they came out missing ingredients, everthing was SO salty & way too much garlic. We asked to speak with the manager, he stopped by, seemed to not care what we were saying, offered us free meals to take home but we declined as why would we want to eat your salty & garlicky food again. Server did not pre-bus table & didnt ask if we wanted another drink when the glass had been sitting empty for some time. Server brings out separate checks, was informed that we wanted one check for the table, still the server brought 2 separate checks. We werent aware of that, paid the tab & walked out only to have the server running behind us saying we didnt pay a tab. Manager came outside to speak with who ended up being a different manager than the one we spoke with initially. We made a special trip to this restaurant from South Minneapolis as we heard good things about it. Well, we will never go there again & i wouldn't recommend it at all!
