What a find! Thanks to the ladies at the Coos Bay Welcome Center who suggested at my asking, to get clam chowder here. 🍵

It's cute and a great novelty to the Coos Bay area, it is too bad, the owners are selling the restaurant. Secretly, I'm hoping the new owners will keep the place a restaurant and not change it. It's just too cute!

A boat converted into a seafood restaurant, its such a cool idea, for this little fisherman's town. (I'm not really sure if Coos Bay is a fisherman's town, I didn't actually see any one fishing, but the area feels like it could be, so I called it that).

The clam chowder was perfect, served quickly, the back patio seating area was peaceful and calming, there wasn't too much action going on with the waves in the bay, so movement on the backend of the boat was minimal. The overall atmosphere, was enjoyable! And I went on a day where it wasn't very busy, which made the experience even easier to take in.

I can just imagine what it would be like on a rainy day. Probably even more peaceful, with the pitter patter of the rain hitting the patio covering. 🌧

The current owners were pleasant and patient and I found the clam chowder soup to be yummy and reasonably priced, especially since it's made fresh daily! It really was a pleasant afternoon, and experiencing this quaint novelty just made the day...

The BEST fish & chips on the Oregon coast are at Fisherman's Seafood Market. It's the floating houseboat down on the docks by the downtown Coos Bay Boardwalk. The view on the water is beautiful, the food is unbeatable, the prices are better than any other seafood restaurant in town, and the sensation of floating on the water is fun. I used to go down to Bandon to get fish & chips, but they don't even hold a candle to Fisherman's Seafood Market. The pieces of fish are fresh, firm, white and flakey, and the breading is NOT greasy. The coleslaw contains dried cranberries and is the best I have ever had. I am not particularly fond of coleslaw, but I eat every last shred of theirs. And they have a seasoning you can sprinkle on your french fries called 'Slap yo' Mama' that takes them to a...

Still the BEST seafood spot in Oregon!

We have been dining here for years - and decided to make this our “spot” for our 10th anniversary as well.

We drove all the way from Sprague River - and boy was it worth the trip!

Our special needs kiddo was on Cloud Nine when we told her where we were going to eat for OUR anniversary. She ordered the clam basket and a cup of clam chowder. I ordered the fish and prawns basket and also a cup of clam chowder. Dad ordered fish and chips. It was the BEST ever and we made the right choice!

This is hands down the our favorite seafood restaurant in Oregon. We highly recommend trying if for yourself! And the staff is very...

The fish and chips were wonderful. The fish was obviously handcut, lightly breaded, fried crisp and brought to the table just out of the fryer. Served super hot and delightfully crisp and still juicy. The coleslaw had dried cranberries and handcut cabbage. The fries are good. There's malt vinegar on the table. All you need for a great fish and chips experience plus the roll of the whole place when someone walks alongside the restaurant. Lol. It's pretty fabulous. I was especially grateful that they also served drinks that didn't have any added sugar. The La Croix was exactly what I needed.
