Wife and I went there today for lunch. It is a large capacity restaurant with lots of seating. There is also a small complimentary salsa bar with a good assortment of salsas. You get complimentary chips with a mild chile sauce and bean with cheese type sauce for dipping the toasted tortillas. Wife ordered the Albondiga Soup lunch special and I the Carnitas de Res plate. The Albondiga soup was good, with cubed potatoes, Meat balls = albondigas , carrots and Zucchini, but we missed our favorite taste of Oregano an Cabbage, like they serve in Los Angeles. The Albondiga soup , was a huge bowl served with a side bowl of rice on the plate with a side of chopped onions. Wife took part of it home, and finished it later. I ate all my Carnitas de Res with the salad and beans and rice. They serve very good Horchata, after my wife tasted mine, she ordered one for her self. She said it had a hint of honey in it, she loved it. We got a complimentary slice of toasted type tortilla with cinnamon with cream with chocolate spread over it for dessert. I would return here again, but watch out, if you are driving a motor home, when you park on 2nd street, because the trees lean into the street and will scrape the side of the motor home...the trees touched my side awning on the motor home. I recommend ordering their lunch special for a fair price with a large...

New year's eve. I understand that it was busier than I have seen it before. There was a large table and a scattered small ones. Me and 3 ladies had decided this was our New year's night out. We watched another large table come in. There were 3 waitresses. The bus boy took our drink orders and delivered them. The waitress hurried through taking our order. Told one of our friends she wasn't ordering fast enough. And then waited while both large tables, one still people coming in, have their orders taken and food prepared and delivered.

Our food did arrive hot and was delicious. And after, we were left for about an hour. Watching the large tables get excellent service. While we were ignored. Had to call the bus boy over to get our to go boxes and asked for our tickets. And then waited another 15 min for those. And then another 15 min at the register waiting to leave.

I am an ex waitress. I believe in giving good tips. And I know how hard a waitress works. They were going for the "good tip" and ignoring everyone else. And missed out on a great one from us. Our night out was a drawn out...

My family and I dined here for dinner. I ordered a simple bean and cheese burrito, it took forever for the food to come out and when it did my burrito was swimming in this red tomato sauce it was soggy and disgusting looking, I asked the waiter why my burrito was covered in the red sauce he replied we do that to all our food, I told him I just wanted a burrito and I wouldn’t eat that, he didn’t say anything to me just walked away I was then “greeted” by a man that I can only assume was the manger that looked angry at me wanting to know why I didn’t want the food, I explained I didn’t know that the burrito was going to be drowned in red sauce and that I wouldn’t eat it that way and I just wanted a plain bean and cheese burrito, he grab my plate said it was salsa I exclaimed that tomato puree maybe but not salsa as he walked away. Needless to say I didn’t get my food corrected had to sit through dinner with no food as the rest of my family ate. I’ll never go...

I can honestly say I've had really good Mexican food and pretty bad Mexican food. Even the pretty bad was edible. But this far exceeded any bad Mexican food I've ever had. I got there around 2pm. There were a couple of tables occupied, but not at all busy. Got my table quickly. Headed to the restroom. That's when the stench of sewer hit. Growing up in the coast I understand plumbing issues, so I forgave that. I ordered a long island ice tea first off. Way too sweet and I couldn't even taste the liquor. Then I ordered a lunch combo. Chili relleno and tamale with rice and beans. The tamale was crumbly and grainy and gross. The chili relleno looked like it had been frozen for a while and then microwaved. Everything was covered in bland sauce and even the rice and beans tasted old and reheated. I took about 2 bites of each item and couldn't stomach it anymore. And after they brought my plate they never returned. I ended up leaving cash under the plate and walking out.

This place was okay. I didn't love it. It was pretty empty when we arrived by the time we left there. About 5 tables 1 server running around like crazy trying to keep up. He was very nice, but they were understaffed. My Margarita was okay. It tasted like it came premixt out of the bottle. End my husband had the number 23, which is a chimmy and enchilada plate. To be very honest, he ordered the ground beef as his meat, and it was very bland. The bacon wrapped shrimp that came on my plate was very, very well done. They were dry and chewy. I guess I would say overcooked for sure. So my takeaway from this place is very average. Pleasant server when they have time to be at your table, don't expect anything special.

It seems like everybody working there was family. They worked well together to bring us a great experience, with great food and an even more amazing vibe I'd recommend this spot to anybody wanting a good meal and a drink.. My husband and I ordered Taco salads with a couple of zombie drinks from the cantina. The taco salads were amazing, we ordered them with extra carne. For the drinks a little heavy on the rum, but still very enjoyable.
