J Donuts — Restaurant in Coppell

“NO SOUP FOR YOU”

Came in to purchase 3 dozen donuts and decided to grab some donut holes for my kids. I figured, hey why not see if they will cut a deal, I mean it looked family operated and I was about to purchase donuts anyways. So I asked the woman before purchasing if I could get it all for $30. (They were $10 a dozen) she says yes (of course she couldn’t or didn’t understand the question and just says yes to whatever I guess. Anyways, she gets it all together and rings it up charging almost $6 for the donut holes (now remember the donut hole is just the discard from the glazed I was ordering anyways right? 😂 I am essentially just asking for the whole donut in reality but that’s not the point. I figured she was going to end up discounting like she had agreed at the beginning but when I said “ thought we agreed on $30 and laughed” she went to back to get husband. This is where it gets good. Husband comes out tells me price then says no discount we pay 4k in rent here. I literally laughed out loud and said “you would be $30 closer” well he then took his donuts back and tells me he wouldn’t sell em. Good with me I can go 100 ft in any direction and hit a donut shop, so that’s what we did.

I would suggest the good ole days where donut shops saw kids and said to themselves, instead of making money off the initial cut to the donut we can give them to the customers as a little “Thanks for the business” but not this place! They have 4 thousand dollar...

Pretty standard middle class american donut shop. didn't see anything wrong when I went there.

I bought a glazed donut and a large sausage roll. They were good, no complaints.

I'll also specifically note that some shops add too much baking soda to their sausage rolls which gives it a soapy after taste. None of that going on here, no after taste or anything. The sausage...

Please DO NOT go here. I came in around 9:30 am on Mon 11/7. The owner did not greet us and cough loudly in front of us and proceeded to try and serve us. He made no attempt to wash his hands or anything. When we brought it to his attention, he pretended that he didn't understand English and tried to shoo us out the door, with no apologies! Please do NOT bring your business here. Much better...
