Read this please before you go. I don’t write reviews usually so take the time to read it. This is SERIOUS.
Our first experience was terrible. Went for dinner with my wife, ordered some food and my wife ordered a Diet Coke as well. Coke and appetizers were served first. As we started The coke bottle tasted terrible from the beginning, I took the bottle, tried it , it tasted very sour and acidic. I looked at the bottle, It expired in April 2020, 9 months ago. I notified the waiter expecting it was an innocent mistake and to be replaced, however to my surprise the waiter was aware. As I told him the coke tasted bad, he acknowledged that it is probably expired, before I even tell him the date on the bottle. He offered a replacement but asked if my wife would take a different diet drink since all Diet Coke are expired!!! I couldn’t believe what I am hearing. I asked him that I need to speak to his manager. How can I trust what you are cooking inside if you are okay serving expired drinks over 9 months ago!! The manager came and was absolutely rude, “oh this is a mistake we have no control of, if you don’t feel comfortable you can go and you don’t have to pay”. Did I just hear that right!! The guy instead of apologizing and acknowledging their mistake of KNOWING THEY ARE SERVING EXPIRED DRINKS, he is asking us to go if we don’t feel comfortable having dinner with people behaving in that manner!!! Very odd, HOW CAN THIS BE OUT OF CONTROL MISTAKE WHEN YOU KNEW YOU ARE SERVING AN EXPIRED DRINK, and why are you keeping drinks in the back that expired from 9 months ago!!! Waiter acknowledged knowing and asked my wife to take a different drink because what they have is expired!! How can people trust what you using to cook in your kitchen, if that was your principle!! We left of course and didn’t have our entrees because we can not trust this place. I have been to many restaurants around them and they are absolutely the worst in Miracle mile. Don’t even bother going there. There are many better Italian restaurants...
Read moreI've been a patron for over 15 years and not once have I ever had a bad meal. In fact it has always been exceptional - down to the homemade bread they serve you when you first sit.
I've seen reviews where they complain about the staff and I have to disagree strongly. They have very professional and attentive waiters, they are just not constantly in your face. They are always within eye shot, since the place is not big, and come when called. If not, any other staff, be it another waiter, the manager or the owners are more than happy to assist when your waiter is in the middle of attending to another table. Nothing but courtesy. I guess if you feel that your waiter needs to park themsleves around your table and constantly chit-chat with your party, like at a dime-a-dozen, corporate-run, itallian franchise, then the wait staff here will not be your style, go to Maccaroni Grill. The food would never compare but at least you'll get a singing waiter.
Everything is delicious but I have a few favorites such as their regular menu items - Bombay Chicken Ravioli, Saffron & Shrimp Risotto, and some of their rotating specials like their Sausage Risotto, Lobster Ravioli, Seafood dishes Al Cartuccio, Octopus Salami, Lasagna on the 1st Wednesday of every month. Also, their tiramisu is exquisite and made with orange zest.
I don't want to name names but on the same block there's another itallian restaurant that's a little more trendy, gets pretty crowed and is quite popular... but I don't understand why when Bugatti's is just steps away. I suggest you walk past that other Itallian place and right to Bugatti's. It's worth the extra steps, better quality food, more authentic and...
Read moreBugatti Bistro: A Mixed Experience During Taste of the Gables Our recent visit to Bugatti Bistro for the "Taste of the Gables" fixed menu offered a mix of delightful culinary moments and a few minor hiccups.
Let's start with the positives: the food was great overall. The bread served at the table was absolutely divine – truly some of the best I've had! The wine selection was also impressive, offering a good variety to complement the meal. I was particularly fortunate to snag the last order of meatballs as an appetizer, which were delicious. My salmon entrée was excellent, cooked perfectly, and the tiramisu for dessert was a fantastic way to end my meal.
However, the restaurant was packed, which unfortunately seemed to impact the service. While the staff was doing their best, the sheer volume of diners appeared to slow things down considerably. A more significant issue was that some of my friends were unable to get certain items from the fixed menu because the kitchen had run out, specifically the popular meatballs and the cheesecake. This was a bit disappointing for those who missed out.
Despite these minor issues, the quality of the dishes I did receive was undeniably high. Bugatti Bistro clearly has a talented kitchen, and while the "Taste of the Gables" event might have stretched their capacity, the core culinary offerings are strong. With a bit more attention to stock management during busy periods, it could easily be a...
