Eze Bistro

366 Miracle Mile Coral Gables, FL 33134

This bakery and bistro used to be called, “Tartine” but it has been renamed, “Eze”, after a seaside commune in the department of Alpes-Maritimes in the Provence-Alpes-Cote d’ Azur region on the French Riviera.

I was looking for a sweet treat to buy for my family when I strolled by this establishment and decided to walk into it. I saw 6 large chocolate chip cookies on display and asked to buy all of them. My mom and son polished off the cookies really quickly so I only got to eat one. They declared that those were the best chocolate chip cookies they had ever eaten and described them as “silky smooth and chocolatey”! I came back another time and someone else had discovered how good those cookies were since they were all sold out. I now know to go earlier in the day to buy those cookies rather than to go by in the afternoon.

They have other delicious goods like cinnamon rolls, butter croissants, almond croissants, cinnamon rolls, bread pudding, cream puffs, creme brûlée and chocolate mousse cake.

For Thanksgiving 2024, I ordered cream puffs topped with chocolate for my family. Marwan, the nice Moroccan-French owner, took my order and ensured that I could collect those sweet treats the day before Thanksgiving since they would be closed for Thanksgiving. Wow! The chocolate-topped cream puffs were absolutely delicious! Thanks, Marwan! I will be back to get more of your delicious desserts! I need to find out what savory food you...

Came in on Saturday around 10:30. The atmosphere is huge and spacious. A few tables taken looked very clean.

Walked in and had a great conversation and gave our order. Definetly pushing sales but in a good way? I took it.

Coffee wise was a little weird no Almond milk but had an iced Latte with 2% (95° outside 🥵). Coffee was very smooth and flavorful and definitely hit the spot.

Ended up having the Avocado Tartine with turkey tomato and shallots. The ingredients were super fresh and tasty. The star here is really the bread. Perfectly toasted and just this crunchy crumbley consistency that pairs with the eggs avocado and toppings.

The upsell here comes in with the honey toast. Similar bread but with a slightly sticky honey glaze. The consistency is great with the similar crunch and honey blend. Not overly sweet perfect to pair with my coffee or a desert.

Overall great service, great food, and a nice, clean, and busy shop. Welcome to the block,...

Tartines - A Delightful French Escape

We visited Tartines, the new French spot that replaced Gustave's failed attempt. Tartines is an unpretentious restaurant with a relaxed ambiance. The decor is simple, lacking the embellishments Gustave had, but I didn't miss them.

The authentic French croissants and tarts, baked in-house, stood out with their freshness and buttery flavors. We tried the breakfast sandwich on brioche bread with perfectly cooked scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, and fresh strawberries and bananas. It was simple yet delightful.

We also had three fried eggs and a croissant with sautéed spinach. Despite its plain presentation, the dish was delicious, and the croissant was reminiscent of those from a Parisian café.

By the end, we tried their chocolate chip cookie iteration that blew our minds and my favorite, the choux pastry that was absolute perfection. Tartines is a must-visit for genuine French pastries and a...

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Tartine is a legitimate French bakery that has been the BEST addition to our neighborhood. The selection of pastries is simply unparalleled—each one is a delightful treat. The crème brûlée is the best I've ever had, with a perfect balance of creamy and crispy. Johnny and Marwan, add a personal touch to the experience, making you feel like a valued guest rather than just another customer. Their passion for quality and authenticity shines through every time I go! And you absolutely have to try the steak frites—it's cooked to perfection and actuallllyyyyyyy cooked the temperature you ask for… unlike other places 🤣. Tartine has quickly become my go-to spot for affordable and high quality food, and the experience is one of a kind!

We stumbled upon Tartine in Miami while heading to the visa office nearby, and what a delightful find it was! Not knowing where to go for lunch, we decided to give this lovely café a try, and we’re so glad we did. The service was wonderful—attentive and friendly from start to finish. We enjoyed gourmet sandwiches, including a brie and prosciutto with lettuce and tomato that was absolutely fabulous, served warm on fresh bread. The staff was kind enough to share a cream puff at the end, and it was phenomenal! Highly recommend Tartine for anyone in the area. Amazing food and excellent service make this café a must-visit!
